Pic: Meguiar's revives dying paint

I just waxed my car with Meguiar's cleaner wax, preparing for the El Nino. It makes a nice shine under the clear blue sky don't you think?

Paint's dying tho, I want to repaint it the original color. Does anyone have the color code for this year? I believe the color was Flame Red Metallic.

Yup, that stuff works good, you should top it off with their Step 2 polish, here's a pic when I did their Steps 1-3.

my paint is dying too, I use the 1-2-3 stuff too, problem is it takes forever to put 3+ coats on the car. but it is well worth it.

there is actually two color codes for 89 for flame red. there is 8774. which is more orangey then red. and 9535 which is a lil darker and more red. by ur picture id say ur car was more the 9535. i think torch was trying to type 9535 and typoed. just trying to clear up that code. dont want to step on anyones toes

Well it looks like I'm going to have to paint it soon. I had a miscalculation while parallel parking today. Gotta pull the dent and then repaint the car w/ the 9535 code. Thanks to all that helped me out.

That's good to know. My paint is starting to fade aggressively now. My car may look like a beater now, but at least I can make it look like a nice beater if that's possible. I think I will have to try some of the that Meguiars.
