AWESOME job. How long did they take you and did you use compounds or just sandpaper?

Well The first thing i did was clean the wheel of brake dust and all that junk. Then I stripped the clear coat finish off the entire wheel, even the gray painted surfaces.Next i take 220 wet and get the fine machined lines out of the wheel, then i go 320,400,800 and finally 2000 all wetsanding. Then I take my blue magic polish and start polishing, all done by hand.Takes about 10 hours per wheel,so remember once you start you have to finish or else they will look like crap.I think the wheel in the picture i did like 220,400,600,1000,2000.Anyways the y come out the same using both grit combos. The polish is what really does the job though, blue magic.By the way i have a set of 15"firebird wheels(look like the formula wheels,That are all polished up if someone wants them,2 good tires on them, for 350 bucks you pay shipping

I'm crying now. I wish mine looked that good. Guess I shouldn'thave stopped with the 1200 grit. Or else didn't do enough polishing.

That was a must see pic. That is some good polishing done on those wheels. Theres a lot of tight curves and crevaces in the wheel design - I can't imagine how long it took you, but it was worth it.

Wow these polished wheels look great....
I almost wanna keep mine but one of mine is severely damaged (chunk taken out of it), not sure how it happened, was there when I bought the car. Don't really wanna know how it happened.
Redtail, would you be willing to sell two of them for half price (the ones with good tire
) or do you have to sell as a set? Do they look as good as the pics you posted?

Sorry man they gotta go as a set,if they werent polished I would seperate them, but because they have a lot of custom work they all go together.Yes they look as good as the ones in the pic.

Those wheels look great! Thanks for the tip on the blue magic polish. I just started on my IROC rims and the first one came out pretty good. That Blue magic polish really brings out the shine.
Rims look awesome!! I dont know if anyone can answer a question for me though. I picked up 4 of those same rims from the junkyard really cheap. The person who owned them must not have been very bright and tried to weld the center caps to the rim.
Now there are burn marks towards the center of the rims.Anyway, If I sand them down and polish them will the burn marks come out?

I dont have any pics of the 15 inch wheels because they are on my car and it is in storage locked up.But they pretty much look like the ones in the pics.
