Stealth Ram & Bowtie Valve cover pics!

Here are some pics of my engine with a Holley Stealth Ram and new Chevrolet Bowtie valve covers. I used Trick Flow centerbolt valve cover adapters in order to use the perimeter bolt valve covers. The adapters were easy to install and included everything! I love the Bowtie cast aluminum covers! They are TALL! No rocker arm clearance problems here!

If you ever run out of plates, just eat off of the engine.

Looks great!!! How about a pic of the whole car. Are you running a stock hood?? If so how is the clearance? I heard the Stealth would fit but it was tight.

Will do! I'm hoping for at least mid 12's on street tires, but who knows...I just can't wait until spring!

Great detail on the badging.

If I ever buy an RS to mod (the car in my dreams is white with a five speed heh), I will follow your lead on the SS emblems. Awesome car all around.

Peace,

K

That is one of the cleanest and best looking engines I've seen. The entire car is a piece of work too, great job.

Summit - $107 - they are the Proform cast aluminum ones. Nice and thick and they will keep valvetrain noise down (my Moroso cast ones sure did).

Unfortunatley, it currently looks exactly the same as in the pictures

Yes, those are ZR1/SS rims. I got them from SLP with tires about 2 years ago. They still only have about 200 miles on them!

We are in the deep freeze here in Chicago, so I have zero motivation to go out to the garage. I really only have one good days worth of work to do before it's ready to drive...Then it goes right to the shop for a Tremec 5 speed swap! Stay tuned

That looks bad ***...

It may just be the angle of the shots, but.. that Stealth Ram will clear the hood, right?

It looks like the hood wouldn't be able to close with that system bolted on...

Scott,

Are those 17x11 in the rear? They look to stick out further than mine?

I'd say I've got about $4,000 invested in the engine.

Scott,

They are 17x9s. Maybe the 4th gen rear makes them look like they are wider? I actually thought they looked wider with the 3rd gen rear and 2" spacers.
