poor car......owner didnt take care of it at all....the spoiler isnt even original.

 

ya the hatch looked like it was replaced. it was red in color. i am gonna hop the fence tonight and try to get the vin or license plate.. its in a storage area that is near me. i wonder how much they want for it?

At the very least theres a very nice complete TTA drivetrain there for a swap if the body underneath is rotting away. I wish that was in Mass so I could use it for my possible Form conv project. STEVE Z

My buddy just sold a tta and get this, The guy pulled the motor and droped in a 350.

and put the tta motor in a olsd 442

WTF... i woulda killed the guy.

esp. since this tta was mint. Biger turbo, dutwiler lowerend, downpipe etc.... the works..

Theres a TTA at a dealer here in Illinois... I dunno how much they're askin though.

Find out how if the car is complete and if he'd sell it, there are many interested buyers I'm sure (like me for instance)

 

More than I can afford. That's why I want a crack at that one. I can bring that body back for almost no cost, so all I'd have to spend money on is mechanicals and interior.

 

I would love to have the complete drivetrain including the dash system etc.. to convert into my 89 Formula 350 ASC convertible. But since thats a pipe dream, my car is for sale as well. Unless that TTA goes cheap. Z

 

Yeah Jim.. I want a crack at it also. I really wanted to buy a Camaro vert, but I would easilly give that up for a TTA.

If I was him and it meant riding my schwinn to work just to have money to fix up that tta, count me shifting 21 times on the way to work!!!

 

Believe it or not, I have seen one that was MUCH MUCH worse. It was about seven or eight years ago too. I doubt if it is even on the road still. The one I saw was covered in rust and everybody panel was dinged or dented. The exhaust was dragging and the headliner was torn apart. Basically everything on the car was trashed. I almost died when I saw it. It was a young girl driving it and I was hoping to see it again so I could try to buy it. Unfortunately, I've only seen it that one time.

 

That girl probably had no idea that she was driving one of the greatest Pontiacs/f-bodies of all time!!

 

I didn't know that was in Texas? If it's listed for sale and you aren't going to get it let me know. I will take a crack at it. I would give almost everything I own (Not much) plus cash for that car.

 

The car is not listed. It has been in that storage area for at least two years. I have been keeping my eye on it, until august of last year when it was no longer viewed from the local HWY. I figured they took it home to fix it, I guess not. I am going to go look at it to. David, have you taken a look to see who ones it yet?

 

I saw a TTA in the Hoffman Estates,IL area a few years back that had 100,000+ miles and was in bad shape. They had a for sale sign in the window asking $7,000. I was tempted to offer $3K for it.

 

i almost doubt that'd even run. (check the bord in front of the rear tire). what a waste.

i wouldn't mind fixing up a TTA.... unless it meant replacing the whole engine and half the body, at that price i'd just look for a higher-mileage one.

but just a guess here, but i don't know if that's all rust. if you look at the door moulding and front bumper, you see the same effect. so a lot of it could be caked dirt. (though the door above the GFX is 99% likely to be rust)
