I've got Vette Brakes ones and they haven't fallen off yet.

I am selling one pair since I don't need them anymore.
$105 shipped

They are 2.25"

Wheel adapters

I went with these guys

http://www.performancewheel.com/

Ask for Neil. Their prices are reasonable and the quality was good.

sorry guys i'll have to go with a custom cut sine i'm running a 9.5 in the front and a 10.5 in the rear with different offsets.

hey guys, what grade are the bolts on those adapters of yours?

do they cut it to fit the hub so it lines up perfectly or is it balanced off the studs? in otherwords is there an indentation in the center or no?

My spacer has a hole in the center so it sits flush on the hub.
I am not sure how it centers the wheel since they use deep shank lugs and not the acorn style, but I haven't had any problems with wheel balance from 0-160mph.
Not sure of the grade of the bolts.

The spacers I got (performance wheel) have a hole in the middle that is just larger than the hub. In addition, acorns are used to bolt the spacer to the hub, which takes care of any centering.

I've used adapters from all 3 sources listed in this thread with good results. Performance Wheel is the most recent place I used for my '02 GTP and my '02 Explorer.

If your wheel adapter fell off, it must not have been installed correctly or was poorly made. I can't see one just falling off as they bolt on just like rims do.

The studs on the adapters themselves broke therefore shooting the rim off, my uncle who owns the body shop I took my car to afterwords says they get cars in all the time for that happening, says it bad for the alignment and sorts, I dont know im glad nobody else has had any problems but im staying away from them.

yeah i've heard of that with spacers or even adapters that use a #8 grade bolt or lesser...but if you use and install an aircraft aluminum adapter with #10 grade titanium studs and brake them you would have broke the ones on your car too...

Mac, what ones did you have and what happened...enlighten us as i would definately like to know!

Well its been about 2 years, but they werent a good brand name like skulte, I believe they were called TD or something like that, basically the adapter held up but the studs in them didnt and when I took a corner there went the wheel and my car scraped along the street messing up the front ground effect, fender, the whole braking system and suspension on the drivers side, drivers side ground effect junk, door bent in a bit, after this experiene it just isnt it worth it to me no matter how great they are now, thats why I ended up whiping out the cash for the chrome irocs.

Kandied Z-
I just read your bit about a custom cut on the spacers. Performance Wheel spacers only come in 0.25" increments. That is usually enough.
When I bought my Baer brakes, Craig at Baer told me that the new brake setup would widen the fron end by 0.4" on each side. I needed 1.5" spacers for the rims I went with originally, so I asked Performance Wheel to make 1.5 - 0.4 = 1.1" spacers. He said no can do, so i went with the 1.25" and it worked out well.

Post pics when finsihed!

sounds great! i'm just worried about the two piece rotor in case it's different.

skulte claimed he could custom cut the spacer to the exact size i need....we'll see. the only thing that bothers me is if baer's numbers are slightly off i could have a huge problem.

Spacers

Kandied-
I'd give Baer a call and ask them. Craig had the number available, he only had to look it up. I'd ask before buying the wheel spacers- Just one more thing to think about!
