Those who store cars or leave them home, what worries do you have?
I know a lot of us store cars for the winter in other places, or have to leave them home from school. What are your big worries about leaving it home?
My big worry is that my father will get to the car when I'm gone and start doing things he feels need to be done. It's just so reassuring to hear "I think Im gonna put snow tires on your firebird, that way it will go up the driveway easier." After realizing he was actually serious, I told him that why would he drive a rwd V-8 powered car with brand new paint over his awd snow tire equipped astro van. That and why does it need to be removed from the grage. On the plus side if something blows up when hes driving, it gets fixed. Whereas I can deal with a rattle, it gets him mad to the point where he makes sure it goes away.

unfortunately i dont' have a garage at my house, so while i'm away at school a cover just gets thrown over my car. no real worries about what would happen to my car except having it break down or something while my dad is running it for a little and him getting so fed up with it that he'd sell it while i was away, but thats just an extreme case heh.
Mine is in a big shed at my grandmas farm in the winters (same plae my truck is during the summers), So mice weren't to bad on the truck, I hope the camaro is ok also, Its the first time there so we'll see how it goes.

well since mine is stored in my heated(kinda) garage....i worry that i won't finish it by spring then it can't come out and play. Also, I worry about a little brother who likes to go into the garage when he shouldn't be.....and scratching my paint more...
for mice, I put screens on my mufler and mt air intake, and tied it down with wire, I hope that keeps them out of the inside of my car. The is another crappy camaro in there so hopefully it will attack that and leave mine alone

my car gets stored in my carage. so i really don't have any worries. im in the middle of a motor swap so my parts are all over the place, and my biggest worry is that something will to my hood. guess what? one day i was shoveling my driveway and my sister went into the shed (where my hood is) so she could get a shovel and help me. next thing i know, im looking at a 2 inch long scratch in my hood. thats right she dropped a metal shovel on my fiberglass hood. im also worried that something that something will happen to my freshly painted bumper. i told my sister to stay away from the shed and the garage. i told that if she needed something, to let me know and i'll get it.

I'm just worried the wife will scratch the car with one of the baby carriers when she gets home. Still better than leaving it outside all winter.

I have seen mice make a nest on the top of an engine and chew threw a lot of wires including half of the spark plug wires, keeps there teeth sharped and sized.Thia was all done in a relatively short period of time, maybe a week or two.Dont want to scare anyone but it happens. The moth ***** things might elp but i think they become immune to anything including poison after a certain period of time.

Mice are a BIG problem. I had one get into mine, fortunately I got the bastard with a trap before it did any damage. If you can, place mouse traps, or poison around your car.
I don't know where to start....

My car has had a bad trans since late August, so its stuck outside under a carport at my moms condominium. The only problem is the neighbors. They have absolutely no respect for anyones property (proof- the car was home from getting paint 3 days and they threw a football that landed on the hood creating a 6" round scuff that luckily came off with rubbing/polish/wax). So anyways these irresponsible pieces of **** park right next to my car and after the football incident I took it upon myself to install surveillance cameras to make sure if anything happens I have proof for the judge.
Now that the trans is ready to go in, the car is at my buddies shop inside and I am a little bit at ease.
Now back to topic... I worry about leaving the car out due to dust created from road salt. It gets on it everywhere even with a cover on it. The bad part is, if you get dust particles of any kind under the cover it scracthes the paint when you pull the cover off. Another thing is rodents but I found a repellent. Use WD40 to repel rust in the crevices and it keeps rodents away too. They hate the smell and won't come near it.
