Mothers or Eagle One Never Dull?

Ok im getting prepared to polish my plenium and ac condenser and a few other parts. i want to do this right and i came to a delimma. the eagle one wadding is like 5 bucks and an economy sized thing of mothers is 10 bucks. im not really going for over all appearence as i am for upkeep. which one will last longer? meaning which one would i use so i dont have to keep doing it every few years?

I used the eagle one on my car and it works really good, haven't used the mother's yet though. Not sure how long it lasts, i used it a month ago and it still looks good, but my car is in the garage for the winter.

i gotta go with mothers, i use it on my rims and they stay shinny and clean for months, and when they go dull all i gotta do is wash and dry em and the shine comes right back. some people on here said to use blue magic polish, but ive heard bad things from my friends about that stuff, maybe you should try that stuff out i dunno? but im gonna stick with good old mothers

my experience, never dull is more for a wipe off cleaning situation where as the mothers stuff i used on my old 4hole mags actually was a polish matieral. i would say to help with the polishin use mothers. i use never dull for take away very light surface rust and very thin layer of paint.

I used never dull to clean off some stuff on my already polished plenum, and it dulled the **** out of it. Use Eagle One MAG/Aluminum polish. Thats what made my plenum look so good.

eagle ones polish is ok, but i used it once and i didnt really like it cuz it hazed up really fast, i let it sit on the rim for about a minute and it had already hardened up, mothers on the other hand doesnt haze near as fast

From my experience, Never Dull sucks. It's harder to get off and wear yourself out trying to get it to shine completely. I use Blue Magic religiously. Easy on, Easy off. Pretty cheap compared to others as well. I've had so much luck with it, i haven't even bothered with the Mothers Product. But I use Mothers Wax, and I'm pleased with it's performance, so I would assume it's other products are good as well.

i am a big fan of the mother's polish. when i would detail cars at my old shop we used that stuff religiously. Works great on a lot of things....hazes slowly and evenly and you can even tell how deep you're going by the color of the haze your getting when rubbing it in. GREAT product. I am very happy with it. Now if it only came in quarts and gallons like some other brand stuff i can get. lol

neither of them......neverdull puts fine scratches in the part and mothers will haze and fill in the pores. both are terrible in my terms at least for show quality.

wizards metal polish is all you'll ever need, $12 big ones and one bottle lasts a season and a half which is good for me.

as far as your upkeep question i'm not sure i understand.......i have to repolish every other week to keep a true showcar shine and at least once a month. how are you getting every few years?

Hey Kandied....Where do you get the "wizards" metal polish at? I'd like to try it out. One thing I noticed with Mothers is that if you buff by hand...and not with a machine....it does leave a hazy finish. But..when I used a high speed buffing wheel (car polisher) that stuff really really worked...much better and like 10 times shiner....no haze at all....but..I'd really like to the wizards out....

Kandied- a year or two because i think you have what i am talking about confused with regular car polish. this is stuff to polish my plenium and in the searches i read that one guy polished his like 3 years ago and it was still shiny as hell.

alright the poll was pretty equal, but i havent heard anything bad against blue magic so i bought blue magic and mothers. i thought that the eagle one crap was a waste considering its wadding and i can make my own damn wadding.

here is the stuff i'm talking about, there might be someone who deals near you.

http://www.wizardsproducts.com/

all the custom paint shops carry only this stuff.

the metal polish works great and i use the paint polish/glaze as a base "wax"

their little "micro" cloth is excellent as well.........

by far up there in every way, their cloth is the "only" thing i've ever used that doesn't scratch my car or leave swirl marks ( i check with a magnify glass after using a materila to be sure)

little crazy but when your paint is that expensive you demand the best.

yeah i will admit that keeping a car in show condition and driving it has it's pitfalls.

i put roughly 5,000 a year and do my best to keep her up. the paint is over 5 years old now.

the same thing you use on billet you shouldn't use on steel.....this is why mothers hazes on certain parts and not on others.

have to use the right compound for the right part....pay a little more now and a lot less later.

alright i used the mothers for the first time last night. i was really impressed. i used it on my old shifter **** i made for my car, and that had been polished on a wheel with that white compound junk about 2 years ago. well i can see myself in it now and it only took like 2 minutes. i just wiped it on and the stuff turned black like the lil jar said, i wiped it off and i was so suprised. it looks awesome!!!

Ive used mothers for about 3 years now....and someone on here gave me a tip to go and try some blue magic. At first once you apply it you dont really see a difference. Then you start to go over your area with it...and :hail: :hail: .....wow....what a difference. I wouldnt of believed it if i didnt see it. Nice and shiny and mirror like finish. The only thing that i have against it is dont breath it in......stuff has ammonia in it and is really potent. Other then that ill have to go with blue magic as my primary choice.

if you clear them right it helps in maintenance.....

personally i would leave it off and just take care of the wheels so you'll get a better shine, however you can't drive them through the winters then.

think about it....to polish a piece of metal your sanding down or basically removing metal correct?

take open exposed metal and run it through lots of water and salt......

you can't constantly repolish metal like that, after awhile you get to a point where the metal becomes "unpolishable" this is why it's important to know how to polish so that you don't remove to much and weaken the piece or open up pores in the metal that make them easier to rust.

there is alot more to keeping something nice like that, hense the reason factories tend to put a top coat to protect polished wheels.

last time i tried to use a 1200 degree engine temp clear and it didn't work. don't know why either.

you should be ok if you keep the maintenance up on the wheel. it just isn't something you want to let slide like you can with a painted wheel.

just remember that the clear you will use will dull the finish greatly.
