New Airbox

Do you guys think my concept would be nice, i'm thinking about cutting the where the canister is and creating a box like that out of aluminum sheets.

I thinking about doing this since I now have a LT1 elbow existing driver side. It would replace the restrictive TPI rubber boot that I have.

I was thinking of doing that a while back, but i got stuck on how i would make the round outlet and integrating it to the square box. Maybe when you do it you could polish it or chrome it, it would look cool.

I believe the SLP CAI is somewhat simliar to your idea. I have one on my car. The entire side facing the fender is open to bring in cold air. Here's a picture of it.

Ok, yes, it does look like it. I pick-up a Rustang 5.0 air box lastnight, exactly what I needed, perfect size.

Nice !!!! Mine will be just a cover, the bottom of the case will be under the canister tray and I will relocate the canister in the fender.
