4th gen two tone grey seats with black carpet???
4th gen two tone grey seats with black carpet???
I have a set of two tone 4th gen seats in my car (dark grey on the outer parts, light grey in the middle). I will my replacing my carpet soon, and I can't decide what color to get. I'm really thinking black carpet would look awesome, but i'm not sure. Does anyone have any pics of this? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The two-tone gray seats look mint! I have an 89, with the gray/black interior. Put seats in from a 94...the gray fabric on the seats is a perfect match with the gray fabric on my doorpanels. Except for the high back style (which I like a lot better than the old ones) you'd never know they weren't original. I even matched the carpet on the back of the fold down rear, which was a light gray (my old one was black). Mask off the seats with tape, spray the back carpet with regular black spray lacquer, and rub it out with a rag when its still wet. The fabric absorbs the black, the rubbing removes enough to prevent it from being stiff, and whoila! instant dyed black carpet Learned that trick from a restorer (actually, I only learned it when I watched him do it. I mentioned that the only thing I didn't like about the seat was that gray against my black carpet, and a few minutes later I looked over and saw him spraying my new seats with a spray can! Thought I was gonna have a stroke...until he was done, and it looks great).
