Is this nose longer?!

Okie I was looking through 92 birds and I saw this trans am by this firehawk and it kinda looks like the firehawk nose is longer and when you look into the fog light area there is less plastic there so I dunno are my eyes just playing tricks on me and that less nose in the fog light area adding to it?

It's an optical illusion created by the license plate holder. There is a part of the nose that you can't see.

yeah i think he's right..

and i think the less-plastic-effect is caused by the car in the foreground being on a slant (towards the drivers side)... if it wasn't sitting on flat ground, it would explain why there may seem to be more plastic.

I agree with the above, it has to be the angle of the cars that makes one look longer tyhan the other.

I agree too...but...there is one thing that I noticed that looke a little different. You see the "tear drops" in the front nose? The first one looks like they are facroty and haven't been touched....on the other......it looks like they have been shaved out a little.....if you look at the very point on the nose....and look at the distance from where the tear drop starts....there is much less material between them....campared to the first one....make sense???

The Formula's got an black insert as they didn't get fog lights. That insert is what's making the Formula in the background look like the teardrops are bigger.

I used to own a 91 Firebird with the ground f/x like the ta in the picture. I used to work with a guy that owned a 91 Formula with the nose like the firehawk.

Park them next to each other and the formula w/out ground fx looked a little bit longer. Just my .02

by the way...I wish I still had my 91.....

yeah thats what I was saying, and also I don't see the fog light delet covers in there. I think we should park a 92 ta and a 92 formula next to eachother and get some pics and mesurements and solve this once and for all!

Its not longer, just the absence of the license plate and ground effects make it look longer.

Yeah I know all that but it still looks longer and pointer than a 92 trans am nose to me, even with the no GFX factor.

The holes are wider on the cars with no gfx...The TA's have plastic starting right where the fog lights end, the hawks go farther to the center....maybe thats why it looks like that..
checl out the difference

Either way, they are both sweet looking noses. I am a huge fan of the 92-84 and 91-92 Firebirds.

Makes me wish I still had my 91.... I really regret selling that bad boy.
