why wouldn't yall buy it. engine and tranny with <100miles, nice paint job, everything sharp and clean, engine and engine bay lookin good, i had him send me interior pics and the inside's as clean as the outside. i think the body, plus the engine and tranny he has in it, is worth a good $5000 there, plus it's all in great condition and he has expensive suspension airbags, shaved handles, nice wheels and tires........do yall know something i dont about it? i think it's a decent price for the condition the car's in...

1991 Z-28....yeah yours is one of the best i've seen, i've been plannin on painting mine orange though so even w/o the condition the cars in, i'm sold on it already
also....i've changed my plans for my camaro alot....at first i was gonna install a crate engine, but it's too expensive and i'd have to replace the tranny....then i was gonna get a 99 SS LS1 engine w/ tranny but too much custom work has to be done.....so now i'm going to (ouch!) sell my camaro and use the money i make during the summer to purchase one that's already tricked out pretty good w/ engine mods, paint, etc, since i can get that for much cheaper than doing it to my own car. so just out of curiosity, what would a car like yours cost? like if you sold your car for some reason, what would be your askin price? just wondering so i can see what ballpark of cars i'll be lookin in...

Actually he is a member here on 3rdgen. I have seen many pics of his car, and it is very sweet! $8500 isn't to much or to little. He has it priced right to sell. Hey if I needed a new toy and had $8500 US dollars to spend on said toy, I would pick that thing up right away. Dand I can't remember his name on here...anyone else remember??

the 91-92 Z-28 high rise spoiler....that's the same spoiler that comes stock on all 91's, right? if it is, i dont particularly care for those. and i agree, blackouts would make it better....i have one question...does anybody know if the blackouts on 3rd gen's make your beams not as bright? i mean most car's blackouts are right up against the light's, but with our cars it's like 5in. away from the light...aren't blackout's illegal at night? just curious...

I don't know about that car. When it comes to more "crazy" color combinations and a not-stock look, I think the MYZ was one the of the better ones. With PSed TT2's especially.

I don't understand why some people here object to paying a bit more for a Camaro with major mods done to it. It is almost always still cheaper than starting from scratch and paying for it all piece by piece.
That car is beautiful...very clean. But...I think it is way too low for my tastes. Pullin in and out of driveways would ruin the paint on that car in no time. If it wasn't lowered as much, then I would like it a lot more. But I wouldnt spend that much on the car...5 grand would be a fair price. But I would rather buy the MeanYellowZ(one of my fav. thirdgens ever...even though I am more of a TA guy)...or a '91-'92 Z28. I just love the stock hoods where the top like pops out...I love the gfx..and I love the spoiler...actually 1991 Z-28 your car is beautiful...Ill give trade you my TC even trade...lol jk( i wish).

Just about the ONLY thing I like is the is the time and effort he put in. Don't like the rims at all. Engine bay is WAAAAY too busy and those yellow wire tube things, YUCK. Color is OK.

Personally, I think the engine bay looks like crap. Too sharp and in-you-face. Too much show. Too low. Bad color. And I hate nitrous. I'm not at all jealouse, my '89 'maro IROC is way nicer than that! -89IRO

he doesn't use the nitrous, and that the bottle has never even been filled up. he enters the car in a lot of shows, so that's all that it is for, show

well despite the air bags, would you really get good handling on a car with stock suspension and nitrous? i just never thought nitrous and handling went well together no matter what the suspension setup

nope you wouldn't have good handling. but i dont know anybody who uses nitrous when they'll need handling, just when they're goin straight. i'd be scared to hit the nitrous goin around turns, even if i had awesome suspension

I'm not a fan of it. The wheels look good. The paint looks like it's painted well, but I'm not a fan of that color. Engine bay is way over done. But these are just my opinions.

And no offence, but at 17 years old, unless you have rich parents that pay for you car. I don't see yours being any nicer. Sorry, but the truth hurts sometimes Last edited by Cruzin Kaz; Feb 28, 2003 at 11:04 AM.

well the trick is so search around for along time and once u find the perfect one, GET IT.... low miles and sitting in a garage its whole life is the best way to go...
i paid 8500$ for my car... (Yes thats bit high), but it was sitting in a garage never driven for 5 years, and it only had 40k miles on it... the paint and everything was original and looks awesome... in that picture i posted all that is done is rims, thats it... so 8500 from 2200 for rims, and you have my car and its low miles, perfect...
but i just spent 10 grand hooking up my car... its in the shop now getting zz4 350, t56 6 speed, and everything else u can think of... but i have seen on ebay and autotrader.com some nice ones, you can get a 91-92 z28 with t-tops for around 7-8 grand , one with very little miles, u just have to shop around and wait for the one to come up and jump on it! before someone else does

first i don't understand why anyone would do anything less than an 8 point cage because anything less still allows chassis flex and second, the engine bay is WAY to cluttered, even for a tpi car.
When it comes down to it, a car is worth what someone else is willing to pay. This especially hold true when you get into custom cars. The blue book value of a car is a good indication of how much its worth, but with alot of custom work, the blue book dosnt mean much. Alot of custom work can make a car worth more (to people who like that car) or it can make a car worth less (to people who collect). When a car reaches a certain level of customization, you should really double check the work and make sure you're not buying someone elses heartache. That is probably THE main reason people wont pay more than the blue book value without really checking it out, or having a love for that model of car. That orange car is really nice, but would I pay that much for it? Nope. I wouldnt want Air Suspension. I'm sure someone else out there would though. It all depends on who the buyer is. So CamaroRS385hp, if you think its worth it then go for it.
Even if you dont get that one, I'm sure you'll find something someday. These things just take time. I waited 2 years before I found the right Camaro for me. $6500 later I had this orange blown 91 z28 ...
*thks for the touchup Lessk!*
Haven't started modding it yet .... soon ... very soon .... Just take your time man ... good things happen to those who wait ...

Cruzin Kaz- The truth DOES hurt, now doesn't it? It all depends on what your definition of "nice" is I guess. I am not at all rich and if I was, why would it matter to you or to anyone else? My car has the original 13 year old paint, a nicely detailed TPI engine compartment and a pretty rough interior, but in my eyes, I think my car is better than that orange one. Jees man, I was just saying my opinions on that car just like every other person has said. I would post a picture but have never been able to figure out how with this damn new digital camera, but that's ok because I have nothing to prove. Oh, crazyhawaiin- nice car, what color is that called? -89IRO (17, what the hell does that have to do with anything?)

Valuing a car that has been highly customized has a value X dollars. There is no specific value to go buy because every customized car is different. The prices in the blue book are for stock cars in various conditions.
Personally, I would buy it because I see it as a finished car. It would be nice to have a car that I can't think of anything else to improve upon. With my thirdgen, I have a whole lot of improvements to make.
