another fake?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6420

I maybe wrong and they guy may have had the formula fixed with regular fire bird parts but, people who call a reg. firebird a formula strike me as really stupid. may be a few here should e-mail him and call him out on this ripoff

That would be a Firebird with the LO3 V8... not a formula(just ran a VIN check) So if you really wish to e-mail him go for it.

Hold on..

Guys, The formulas came with the LO3 actually more came with the LO3 than the LB9. Of all V8 Firebireds Like 70% were LO3 18% were LB9 and 12% Were L98. I may be a bit off on the % but I a know that I am close.

You need RPO Codes to see if it is really a formula.

I know Mine is a Formula and has a LO3, (or did have he he )
My vin comes up as firebird v8 LO3,
The rpo code W66 is how you tell it is a formula!

yeah i hear ya there. People who say they have a formula and isnt really.....well im lost for words. I got a quik ? though.....ive owned a formula now for about 5 years...and know quite a bit about them...however......did from 87-92 did they ever make a formula with the straight spoiler in the back instead of the aero wrap around or the 91-92 style? I saw a formula the other day....had all the right markings.......even the deep dish wheels.....but had that style spoiler on it...kinda made me a lil confused. Any help???

Maybe he just likes the firebird spoiler better... they are a lot cheaper aftermarket to buy than 85-90 or 91-92 aerowings... so maybe he didnt have the financial to replace a rotted urethane spoiler? who knows. could be a lot of things.

I E-Mailed him and very politely asked him if it ever had any body work due to all those things in the pic. I didn't call him a lier but, pointed out the non formula things and asking what had happened, may be he will reply

Hopefully he will reply... doesnt really bother me all that much but just say that you have a V8 Firebird if you have a V8 Firebird... dont give false information and try to squeeze a little extra $$ out of something that isnt valid... idk... i guess we'll see

If you look closely, you can see that he painted the t-top trim white, and the reflection on the t-tops is making the glass look white....
