thats because u live in louisiana dude...up here in mass the ***** scene has been getting really big, so im a minority around here, the backwoods down to earth folk down there dont call u whitetrash for driving a 3rd gen cause it's like a different world than what im used to. i wish people around here had good taste in cars and understood that there's no replacement for displacement

I'm not really for or against them. If you need 'em , keep'em. If not, then ditch 'em. They are usually something I associate with SCs that don't have ground FX but you have to admit that labrat's car looks pretty nice with them on

I don't think that it has anything to do where someone lives to know about certain sayings or things said in the car enthusiasts world but the lacking of maturity or common sense.Louisiana is far from some backwoods even though a lot of it is cajun country with people that have the southern drawl and a simpler way of life. I live about 5 minutes from New Orleans which has the French Quarter bar scene,Fat City(nothing but bars, not really a city just a crapload of bars) and Mardi Gras.Trust me we are not the last place for all the current trends to appear although I hardly see an "ricers"(which is derogatory) around here.

i know theyre in front of the rear wheels...but i really like the way the 80-81 Z28 "fender flares" look. it would be cool if someone made something like that for 3rd gens that go behind the rear wheels, maybe to replace the ground effect pieces that go in front of the rear bumper

Car: Camaro of course
I have a black/black camaro w/ plain balck mudflaps. They protech the car you should see the backs of the mud flaps..dirty!) and since the whole car is black you really dont notice them. So I guess my vote would be yes.

I guess I must be trailer trash since my 11k mile IROC has both mudflaps and the rear window louvers!

Here's a picture of my "trailer" sitting on a 1/2 acre wooded lot in a 27 hole golf course community!!!

I didn't see this mentioned.. But at a car show I saw a good idea. A vette owner custom made some small mud/dirt flaps out of Lexxan. I never noticed them at first.. But what a great idea. and if they show signs of waring out, just replace em.
