Show Me Your Mudflaps!
Get your minds out of the gutter, guys. I'm talking about the ones that go on vehicles!
I have been contemplating this for a long time. I get pretty sick of spending 4 - 6 hours washing, waxing and detailing the car, then after a 5 minute drive around the block theres already crap starting the get kicked up all over the back of the car.
I've always had the idea that a set of mudflaps would look pretty neat IF they were done right IE attached correctly to the car and not too big/not too small. Kinda proportionate to the tires. They can't hang too low or too high. There was a set of pretty nice looking ones I'm finding on froogle.com called PowerFlow. They're stainless steel with rubber exstensions at the bottom. Not sure how good these would actually look, though. And the stainless steel ATM wouldn't look right on my car, until I get it painted with aluminum rims. Then they would blend in nicely.

Re: Show Me Your Mudflaps!
I'd need a rather large set to complement the drag radials.

Re: Show Me Your Mudflaps!

I think the original GM mud flaps were molded. These are just flat rubber. Definitely not wide 'nuff for drag radials.

I cannot stand them, just makes our cars more to the "****** machine" factor.

Re: Show Me Your Mudflaps!
I gotta get me a nice set of Formula mudflaps. I hate how the mud and dirt sprays up on to the paint. I don't care whether people call me a r*****k or whatever.
Besides, it's my paint that I care about not getting all muddy and stuff

What about something like this:
http://tintworld.com/paint-protection-film.cfm
I was thinking about it - I was quoted $75 per rear quarter from behind the wheel to the rear edge.

Re: Show Me Your Mudflaps!

Never on the 92 ground effects. I would rather do the hard plastic ones with the 92.

Re: Show Me Your Mudflaps!
I only have flaps on the rear, they are molded plastic and were on the car when i got it. I drive my car to much the keep having to wipe down the sides. They keep burnout rubber off the lower quarter panel too... lol
(Wish I had a better pic of them but you get the idea)
