They are aftermarket BMW wheels made by the same manufacturrer that makes Konig wheels. They are only available in 18X8.

NO, if needing spacers / adaptors of any kind.
YES, if direct fit.

 

A few members are currently running BMW wheels...

you don't NEED spacers, but some guys shim the back wheels by about 6mm to make it perfect.

There is also another issue with the hub bore... on some wheels you need to do something about that.

Others like the Swede have bolted them straight on with no modifications, so there isn't really a clear answer here.

 

Those look kind of the new Pontiac GXP rims. Here they are in 19".

 

They certainly are similar! I can see some subtle differences though...

These wheels are made by a company called "FM Replica Wheels"

If anyone has any insight as to fitment implications, please let me know.

I know camaro wheels have a 5 X 120.65mm bolt pattern, so they should fit on... I don't know if there will be any issues with them clearing the dust caps or suspension, but I would love to find out.

They are ok, but the fact that they only have a width of 8inch would immediatly cross it off my list.

There is much more selection in BMW wheels, and the prices are actually better as well. I would have thought they would be more expensive, but I was wrong.

I am sick of the regular GM styles... either ZR1s or TTIIs... TTIIs look great on birds, but I think they look like *** on camaros.

I just want a straight up 5 spoke design in a decent size.

 

From what I heard the bmw bolt pattern is 126mm while the chevy boltpattern is 120mm. So its like 6mm off or something, but people say it fits anyway. I've never tried it myself. I dont really trust the idea.

 

I know of at least 2 members on the site who have done it... I think it's more like a matter of .6mm as apposed to 6mm...

If someone would just come out with some decent looking wheels in a thirdgen fitment, I wouldn't be messing around with BMW stuff.

 

I'm pretty sure I'm running BMW wheels (IIRC - LOL*) and they did require an adapter. I wish I could shave down the rear adapters another 1/2" as I think the rears stick out to the sides just a bit too much, but I'm not sure I'd get away with it.

Yes, and hell yes. Those are Evo 5's or a knockoff. I love them. Jay, check Ebay. Some of the BMW OE wheels are pretty sweet. From what I understand, anything for a 5 series is a bolt on for our cars.

 

Yeah man.. that's what got me going... the ones I chopped on there are all over ebay for $700US/set. I'm glad someone else sees it my way

 

Sad thing is, about 5 different OE's now have an EV0 5 rip in production. The real ones are right up there with the Fikse $$.

 

As far as I can tell, 5/7/8 series wheels should fit fine with no spacers and 3 series wheels can also be used but they will require spacers.

The only thing I'm concerned about is the center bore... these wheels are hub centric, and it needs to be a good fit.

The BMW fitments are:

72.6mm centerbore for the 3 series cars and 74.1mm for the 5 series.

Does anyone know the centerbore of our cars?

 

im pretty shure that those were photo shoped onto ssaudios car am i right? but on the other hand they do look very good on the car but id rather have the chrome C5 rims he had on it.

 

those look like the mille miglia Evo 5 wheels.

 

My dad has a 98 750IL. I will see if I can snag a wheel off of his car and put it on mine. That way you will have somewhat of an answer about the 7s.

Yeah they are almost identical, but these don't have the fake cap screws.

I have no doubt that they will bolt right up... but I have a suspicion that the center bore on the Bimmer wheel is a little bigger than the thirdgen hub, so it might slop around a bit which wouldn't be great. There are ways to overcome this if it's a problem, but ideally it should be a tight fit.

 

Yeah you're right, it was .6mm off. Not 6mm lol. I think those wheels look sweet. I've always liked BMW wheels. I'm interested in seeing how this turns out as well because I might be interested in getting a set if they do fit. For now I've been going with Boyd Coddington billet wheels because they'll custom make boltpattern/backspacing/offset. But when it comes down to it, I prefer a 3 piece wheel instead of the foarged billet. The only guys I know that will make a custom 3 piece set of wheels for us are HRE and SSR and they almost cost as much as my car ....

 

I have run BMW wheels(8,5x17) three years.No problems,only have made adapter ring between hub and wheel.Length of hub may narrow selection of wheels,because hub at 3rd gen cars is 76mm long and many wheels made for BMW's have only approx.40 mm long hole for hub.

I've been toying with the idea of using BMW wheels to just because they're not real expensive and plentiful.

I like the way the ones you picked out look though. Too bad they won't work.

 

Those wheels are available in both 112 and 120mm.

i would get them if they where powder coated white or black to match the car or chrome and they would have to fit with little or no modification and if they do im buying my next week
