I know that the wheel feels so tight because they have rack and pinion steering and third gens dont. You can get a new steering box for a third gen with a tighter ratio. I bet it would also take some slack out. I was wanting to get 1 but there kinda high i want to get some other things first but i bet 1 would help. You can get them from summit. Cause i replaced all my front end all the steering linkage and ball joints and struts the hole 9 yards but the steering box.

he was prob just sayin the wheel is a lil sloppy cause i know mine handles awsome. But 4 gens just feel real responsive with the rack and pinion even if doesnt hadle as good as ur third gen.

LT1Guy wants to swap to a rack in his 3rd gen. As far as the rest of the feel. I have found my 2.8 feels better then the 4th gens I have ridden in...Most of why 4th gens feel better is they are newer....

Rebuild your suspension and you will be amazed. New shocks and struts... Go for energy suspension bushings...Hit a junk yard, get a wonder bar, and the TA or Iroc sway bars. I have a Herb Adams adj panhard rod and Granatelli (sp)Lower Control arms. The eibach springs helped a ton! But the Sub frame conectors made the most noticable change!

Then you will see just how good these cars can really feel. I think 3rd gens have a much more solid ride and feel!
