Bra or no Bra.... on the camaro that is.. :)

obviously you see the occasional camaro with a bra on it, but i was just wondering what you guys think about them?? the front end of my car looks like ****, while the rest of it looks nice and i just thought it would be easier to get a bra rather then painting just the nose. Anyone have pics? before and afters?

thanks!

Ive heard if you get one, you have to clean out from under it alot, otherwise stuff get up in there and start rust etc.

IMO bra's look like crap, unless they look better than what is underneath.

the front end of my car is all scratched, and the paint is coming off, and some moron the had the car before me put black silicon around the lights so that he could stick headlight covers on it. so it looks like ****.

i think they look like crap and they do get stuff caught in them and causes water to be soaked up and then causes rust.

They look like crap.
The only thing they are good for is hiding completely ruined front end paint.
But if you have good paint on the front, then the only thing the car bra does is destroy it.

I have put one on my car and it lets a little bit of a mark on the hood if let on and not cleaned from uner it. mostly on the hood part. I pull it off about every two weeks or so wash and wax under it and I have yet to leave any perminant marks. Id say go for it if your nose looks like crap. I got mine Directly from the GM dealer where I work amd it fits pretty well and isnt all saggy like you see some of them.

I think it depends on what type of bra. I used to have the two piece custom fit that has the opening for the front turn signals and opening for the side markers. I think that one looks better than the ones with the plastic over the markers. When kept clean and shiney with some "shiny stuff" it looks pretty sharp.
About 4 years agos I had a chip that had started peeling before the bra had gone on. I decided that my baby was going to get a paint job... When I took it in, and the bra came off, every area that had the bra on was yellow...I should mention my 91' camaro 5.7L was Arctic White. Because money was no issue, I spent $4000 on the paint job, stripped, sanded, new rubber all around and all the trimmings. Now the paint looks, of course for 4 grand, immaculate. So needless to say it will never see another bra again and it's not a daily driver anymore anyway. For me, because I'm so damn picky and I new an expensive paint job was coming, the bra just bought time.
When you wash the car you also have to clean underneath cause dirt does get trapped.

The only circumstance where I think a bra looks good on a car is if the front end just looks like A$$. To me it just looks like a big black piece of viynl on the car. There shouldn't be viynl on a sports car, leave that for the executive sedans.

I got a bra on my car cause S-curve+snow+lightpole= hurt IROC. Im missing a piece out of my front GFX so the bra is on for now. Normally I dont like running the bra but I dont really think it looks all that bad on a black car. Kinda reminds me of some crazy S&M bondage stuff LOL. I think it makes the car look meaner if thats even possible.

I have a bra on my Camaro, but its only the hood part. I'm gonna take it off tomorrow and see how bad it hurt my hood though... cause I think I'm gonna leave it off! Here's a pic... should it stay or go?!

Ok, i found a pic of my camaro sitting at the bodyshop before my paint job. By the way, Le Bra sucks. I cant remember what Brand mine was but I think I paid about $250-300. The inside was lined with velvet and was really thick. Fit perfectly too. I researched all bras before I got this one and I thought it was the best.

had a lebra for a while. on and off. put it on for my trip to vegas from omaha. Got about 30 miles outside of vegas and i heard a THUMP THUMP THUMP!!!

the right front clip in the wheel well had ripped and it was flapping around. really loud at 85mph. so i had to take it off and pull over, i thought i had a flat tire.

it was pretty crappy. now i just leave the front hood peice on. to cover up big paint peeling and chips.
