There is no RPO code because it's not a factory option. It was a GMPP authorized option that was covered under GM warranty, 50 state legal, and installed by the dealership service depatment.

It could either be bought outright or financed in with the purchase. About the only ways to tell if a package is the real thing since allot of people have copied it over the years, is to make sure the car has the correct original SLP decal for the package under the hood and that the headers are Tri-Y headers and not the newer 4-into-1's. Those 2 things are items that I have NEVER seen anyone else have except for those of us who really do have the real thing.

Ok, where should the SLP decal be under the hood?
I have a 91 gta, I was told before it "may" have the SLP, but the headers were upgraded (before I had the car) so I cant tell there.
BTW, your 92 is beautiful.

Thanks.

The location of the decal will vary depending on where the service department of the owner puts it. Mine is on the radiator support in front of the fan belt digram just like the SLP test car...

I belive mine could be an SLP car, but I guess that I'll never know. In my owners manual I found the original sticker that was placed under the hood of these cars, as if mine just had never been installed. Possible? Not sure. The car was modified when I purchased it so none of the actual SLP parts remained. Do you know if there is a list of the SLP car vins anywhere, 92GTA? I have had a guy offer me $65 for this sticker. WOW

Sorry to see your car go, 92GTA. It is quite an example.

No record of any of them that I know of and I haven't started one.

DO NOT sell that sticker! Keep it!
