Looks like its well on the way to becoming a very nice car. What are the specs on the engine? What hood do you plan on covering that beast with? Looking good.

i would get rid of that air cleaner. I hear WAY too many horror stories about backfires that will melt that thing in a heart beat.

yes I can vouch for the air filter backfire thing, by the time I shut my car off, popped the hood, and got some water to put out the fire it had completely disenegrated and left a nice mess. get rid of that thing asap.

Thanks Guys, I am not going to be running that filter just sit it on top of the motor to keep stuff from falling into the carb. I am going to go with a 4" Glastek Cowl Hood. The Specs on the motor are as follows: Chevy 350 Block bored .30 over to a 355. TRW Flat-top pistons, Pro Topline Cast Iron Heads with 2.08/1.60 valves,1.6 comp cam blue energy rockers and the heads flowed 332 on the bench, Scat crank, Eagle rods and bearings, comp cam 234 at .050 with 555 lift solid flat tappet, pink double springs and manley retainers, Proform HEI Distributor, Proform High Rise Intake topped with a Holley 750 Double-pumper carb. Hooker mid-length headers 3" exhaust no cats with a 2 chamber flow. On the dyno it made 473 hp and 488 ft-lb of torque on the dyno at 6200rpms. The motor was built for nitrous and soon after I get my 12 bolt rearend, I will be slapping the fogger plate on it spraying a 400 shot of the squeeze.

oh by this is the way the turd looked when I got it. Minus the motor I bought the car with a 400 sbc in it but the blocked was screwed up back cracked in several places so I went with a 350 block.

Thanks guys. It should be a 11 second sleeper when I get the 12 bolt and my stall converter. I'm gonna just drive it around in primer for awhile but I'll tell you this much it doesn't sound like no sleeper I'll just tell people I have a burnt plug wire that's why it's idling like that
