Here is my car after a good wash a going over with a clay bar and some Zaino...I plan on another coat of Zaino tomorrow.






What do you guys think?

No it was orignally silver with the mirrors, spoiler, and very bottome all the way around in black. The paint was horrible, it had no shine at all looked worse than primer. I painted it black about 5 months ago. Its black with just a hint of white pearl, it gives it a little extra glimmer if you look at it in person.

wow, that's looks sweet. i also have a black car, and while mine doesn't shine quite that much i am wondering how much if any a clay bar will help. i've heard of a lot of use of them but dont know how much it will help me. your info is appreciated

Over time contaminants will build up on your paint that washing won't get rid of. The clay bar will make the surface smooth as can be. I found it very helpful for my car.

The clay bar is very nice....it makes the wax go on a lot smoother and just in general make the surface a lot smoother. I bought a Clay Magic clay bar for $10 at Pep Boys.

Shiny black cars sure are purrrdy

The process is highly recommended. I personally like the Mother's Clay Bar kit, which uses their detailer as the lube. Last weekend I first washed the car with Dawn Dishwashing Liquid to eliminate old wax, claybared, washed a second time, then applied Zaino. I'll eventually do three or four coats. Again, highly recommended.
