3 hrs? did you just do the top? How did you go about doing it? did you hand sand it or use power tools? compounds or sanding? Im up to around 3 hrs total with polishing mine and im at 400 dry. I think im gunna start with mothers and polish with my car buffer. Sound like a good idea? After mothers, what do you guys recomend to finish it off with?

I have probably around 4-5 hours into mine. I polished the top and sanded the sides smooth.

The next time I take it off, I'm gonna polish the whole thing.

I've got probably 2 and a half hours into mine between the grinding down of the front part (it was a pre 90 plenum) sanding the casting down, polishing the top, and powdercoating the sides and underside black.

Those look bada$$ !! But beleive it or not, the unpolished plenums/runners disapate heat better, hence keeping a slightly denser air charge. Just a thought!

As promised one polished intake I spent 8 1/2 hours polishing it but it would have taken about 5. I wasnt happy how it was polishing out so I re hand worked the intake and repolished.

Very nice...I was looking at your price sheet. Your prices are very reasonable. For the amount of work required to get them to look that good.

Not too bad, hand polishing? While still bolted on I dont see how you guys can do it like that.
Good story behind this pic, I made the program, set the cnc up at college, and now I'm polishing all 70 of them so they can be givin out as trophies. the only thing I hate is the person who was running the machine let the 1/4 end mill dull and didnt replace it, so the sides are pretty gouged/burred up badly There I went and wasted all that time getting the spindle speeds and feed rates perfect for a superb finish, Down the drain
