can't get friggin' hood off
ok, how the hell does the hood come off. there's pics below of the screws i cant get off. the air strut things are easy to get off, but i cant get the screws. they're too weird shaped for a screwdriver (or any i have) to fit in them, plus even if it fit, there's not enough space for a screwdriver to fit there. i tried a vice-wrench on them, but no luck. how the crap does it come off?

Just unbolt the hood from the hinges on the upper end instead. Only two bolts on each side (if my mind serves me), and they're easy to get to.
This will leave your hinges still in the car, but just fold them down to get them out of your way, unless of course you need them out for painting or other purposes...

ahh, thanks....man i wouldn't have noticed those for hours if you didn't tell me, i wasn't looking at all in that area. i'm sure i had my fingers touching them 20 times while i was straining to get the bottom screws off. well, should have it all done before too long, i'll post some pics
if your going to reinstall the hood after your done doing what ever, take a small drill bit 1/8" or so and drill one hole through the bracket and the bottom of the hood on each side before you loosen the bolts up (don't drill through the top of the hood), then when it comes time to put the hood back on just line up the holes with each other and tighten the bolts then the hood will be exactly where it came from.

Make sure that when you are doing this to have someone help you.You don't want the hood falling or sliding back and cracking the windsheild or scratching the paint of the hood or the body.
Or instead of drilling you can use a quick spray of black spray paint to mark where the bolts were. This will help you line the hood up when you put it back on. This is the method I use.
