No picture right now. Lost wire to connect digital camera to computer, special end on wire, camera is junk without this wire, real smart move huh? Guys in Ohio might read the Ohio Revised code 4501:2-1-13 Motor Vehicle standards. This doesn't actually say a license plate is mandatory on the front. Might be a traffic law that states this but I haven't found it. If the camera wire turns up I'll shoot a picture or two.

I got a ticket for no front plate. I found my bracket went to the DMV put some double sided sticky tape on the lady at the dmv signed my ticket on the back saying it was fixed i pulled out of the dmv and took it off.

I also got pulled over another timne for no front plate the cops for 1 hour said i was high first i was drunk then i was high on weed then they said i was on coke then finaly said i was on meth. They gave me tons of field soberity tests. I was 100% sober then they tried sayin if i admit to being high the judge will get me help i explaind to them to take me down to the station give me a drug test and then let me **** on them when i pass. They finaly let me go and said i needed serious medical help LOL.

FYI in california in the veachle code book it states that if your car is issued 1 plate then it is ok to not have a front licence plate.

It's illegal in Colorado to only have 1 plate too. That's why I put both on the back. I got pulled over for no front plate and the cop said "Colorado is a 2 plate state, I'm going to have to write you a ticket." I told him that I did in fact have both plates and would show him. He got all huffy and told me that I couldn't have both, there was no sign of my car EVER having one. So I got out, he started walking to the front, and I went to the back. I yelled to him, "Yep both still intact and mounted." He started laughing so hard, he said that he should still write me up, but wouldn't because I made him laugh. He said that the next time he'll word it different and make sure to include the whole "front plate" in his statement. Here it's only an $8 fine. I can get a whole mess of those tickets before it costs me what a new bumper cover would. I'll just keep running no plate up there.

I saw a fourth gen with the plate there, honestly it look absolutely terrible, and as often as that thing gets smashed I'd hate to have something that would make even MORE noise down there.

Oregon requires a front license plate, but doesn't enforce it unless the cop is a JERK. I got pulled over twice for it. The first cop gave me a ticket - I foolishly refused to pay it since it wasn't a moving violation and my license went on suspension. I paid the ticket, got my license back, and never put the plate on. The second cop was really dense so I told him there's not even a spot for one, so he had me get out and look with him. Since there's no bracket I said "See?". "Oh... weird" and he let me go My friend with an Eclipse got a ticket for it too. He propped his plate up with a pop can, took a picture, then took the picture in and had the ticket dropped. F front plates!

That SS grille sure looks sharp! Be a tragedy to cover that up.

We in Hawaii require front plates. So I just put it on for the saftey inspection, then I take it off after I get home, usually I just put it in the front window. Have never been hastled over it.

ya, i had to put mine on yesterday, the local cops told me if they caught me without it again they'd write me a ticket, and i really don't need to pay money if its not necessary, sucks though, i've only had the car 5 months, and some people here have gone years without one. but after having four written warnings and two verbal, i'm tired of getting pulled over for it.

Finally got a picture to post of the 80% size front plate, not a big difference but it doesn't stick out and may be somewhat legal. Have to really look to see it's not right though.

Whoa! How do I reduce the image size on this? Was a standard picture size when uploaded? Too large to upload to thirdgen.org, had to use a server. Can't keep pictures under 102k seems like.

I dont see what the big deal is.. When cops are following you around looking for a reason to pull you over, they are behind you running your plates as usual because they hate sports cars... lol ... We are all targets and will remain targets as long as we have individualism and good taste in cars...

To hell w/the front plates..i live in new york state, and dont have front plates on any of my cars. I dont see the point. Whats the cop gonna do, pull you over from infront? I got 1 ticket so far for no front plate..and it was coming around a corner..it was apparent the cop was having a bad day. It'll be interesting once i get the z on teh road, because the one suburb next to mine i know the cops "have their eyes on it"..kinda hard to miss, adn i guess the previous owner got pulled over once or twice

Front license plates save lives.
You are endangering the health and well being of the world by not having one. And you are supporting terrorists.

I was forced to drill holes in my Z grill to mount mine after I had had enough harasment and taxing.
BS law for tax purposes.
Plus they need something to aim their lasers at.
