Man im steamed =(

I was putting some tint on my two front windows today and man im pist, I had everything ready, had it trimmed perfect, I take the cover off the adhesive and this damn gust of wind decides to show up and tangle the damn tint up. I tried to pull it apart and it ripped.... Argh, $10 bucks down the drain =/.

Car: Camaro of course
I would be thankfull that occured. like 99.9999999 percent of people who do the do-it-yourself tint jobs, end up with ghetto looking windows. Unless your a pro. I would not try to do that, it never works, just look at all the beaters out there with bubbled up purple windows.

Well, me and my brother are actually good at it, we put the tint on his truck and its lasted about 3 years now. Just pissed me off today because it was all going perfect and then the damn wind picked up out of nowhere.

I don't like purple tint either. I find it offensive.

What were you doing outside putting the tint on anyway? You should do it in a clean garage and wet down the floor to keep the dust down. Tinting outside is just asking for dirt and bugs and tree sap and pollen and anything else to get between the window and the tint and make it look (as SuperchargedRS said): GHETTO.

Windex with Amonia makes the tint turn purple. Or at least thats what I have heard.

I've always heard that using window cleaner with amonia would purple the tint too. Most cheap tints fade over time as well. From what I've heard, 3M makes the best tint.

Well im using gila, its lasted on my brothers truck. The reason im outside is if you saw my garage you'd barely be able to fit a bicycle in it. Anyways, all went well today, got that puppy on their tight and looks good, now I have to get the rear hatch done professionally. No way I can do something like that myself.
