my beautiful car is destroyed>RIP

well i never thought it could happen but it did. my car is now destroyed.... because some stupid old lady! check this out i am stopped at a red light for about 1 min already. behind an suv and he is the front man at the light. BOOM i get hit from the back HARD and it pushed me forword under the SUV lifting it up in the air. then hit again by the same car... then AGAIN but this time she keeps pushing me forword about 3 meters, by this time the SUV moved out of the why and only got hit 2 times. aparently her foot slipped and got stuck. YA RIGHT!!!!!
i almost cryed man for real all that hard work gone down the drain. and the messed up part is there cars were not that bad at all but mine its nothing but a right off now.
i will get some pics up tomorrow it to dark right now and raining, besides i cant look at her right now.

Who is being considered teh guilty party in this? Don't dare settle for patial guilt. If you came to a complete stop at a red light behind a car remember, you were far enough away to see the SUV's back tires in front of you.

Can you take anything out of the car thats worth while? Stuff like aftermarket stereo's I'd take out of there, speakers, any performance stuff.

All I get is a red X for your pic. Sorry to hear about this. Just makes me more nervous to take the thirdgens out even more. Lots of idiot drivers out more and more each day. I put tons of time etc... into my 89 Formula( Look under http://www.zalimas.com ) and I would be extremly pissed if this gets bumped nevermind smashed. Again, sorry to hear another one is gone

Man I'm sorry but i know this does not make it much better, like someone said old folks that can't drive shouldnt be driving. I think they should have to come back in every 5 years for routine checks on there driving skills after the age of 55...

Remember man this sucks but..

It takes a Lifetime to build a master peice, and a Split second to dystroy it.

I'm all for mandatory re-testing for driver's licenses past the age of 65 every few years, unfortunately its a pipe dream b/c the DMV can't handle the current workload it has now.

Obviously the doors aren't lineing up any more. Or thats the way it looks in the one rear pic you posted. If the frame is trashed then they won't even bother. the Blue book value on our cars is "too low" even in premo condition. *** damn how i hate insurance companies like that. Thats why I still have all of my reciepts for EVERY thing I've done to the car. And my insurance company has reciepts for that as well.

Sorry to hear what happened man. Just recently I had my 91 RS sitting outside at my buddy's house. We were inside having band practice when his next door neighbor backed out and smashed into my drivers side door. It was a total mess, and she just took off! I called the cops and she admited to the whole thing. She got charged out the a** with violations. Good thing is her insurance payed for the whole thing...new door skin and paint. Don't worry man, you'll get it all situated.

You don't have to accept anything they offer you. Show them receipts for your car and tell them you want a car EXACTLY like the one you had....same condition, same wheels, everything. They'll either have to find you one, or keep jacking up the money until you're satisfied.

You never have to accept what they offer you. After all, it's just as if someone is trying to buy your car from you.

I've taken a couple of autobody shop classes (good ones) and judging by that buldge behind the doors the subframe is messed up & with the front end dammage no shop could fix that for under bluebook.

PS its a shame man I'll leave both my bird with the ignition off for a day for your moment of silence

I believe he was talking about the rear end of the car

the poster says how the car hit him, and he plowed into the SUV infront of him

clearly, the car must have hit him from the back for this to happen.

and I was amazed too.. the rear doesn't seem to have ANY damage.. but yeah, the rear well is pretty bad..

umm...The front looks fixable but the entire rear end appears to have shifted to the right and forward, the tire is crooked too!The rear may be able to be straightened but who knows what happened to the suspension.

ya there is something wrong with the front suspension on the pass side it almost has a wable feeling. and sits on a slant to the passanger side. i was also surprised the back was in that good shape there is barley any paint damage. (well lots of those stress marks though) i still dont no what i am going to do with her i am gunna have some people take a look at it and tell me what they think, i might turn it into a project car.
thanks people for careing about my ride. its sad working on something so hard the haveing it taken away from u.

Hopefully the damage isn't costly, especially the rear damage. At any rate good luck with it.

You might want to get her for more than the accident.... How can you "slip" twice? She was tryin to kill you! I think I'm half joking, but maybe there is a little more to this than a little oops I smashed into a guy twice.

She had her foot on the gas to get to the stop, she missed the brake, and then missed the brake again, did she ever actually remove her foot from the gas pedal? She should have noticed about 50 feet back that the cars where stopped ahead of her and that she wasn't slowing down. That if she was a "good driver" and followed proper braking

Sorry to hear (and see) about the car. I hope you can somehow get something decent out of this.
