I could lie and say I dropped it.
And now I feel like an idiot.
I fitted them on for the first time since i bought them, just to see what they would look like.
Looked awesome. But everything went down hill from there, the girl I am with said we needed a brake, I burnt myself on a butane torch and then I got my hand stuck between the chair and the bracket when I was wiggling the seat out.
So I was really in a pissy mood and I tripped on a plastic brush that a roofer left in our driverway and I got really upset and chucked it.
That was the end result.
It is funny though, because I let a girl get the best of me... And the plastic brush was a lighter plastic then the taillights... the brush actually shattered into about 60 pieces.
Oh well... any more advice on my stupidity?

OUCH... you gotta watch them women, cant let them get the best of you. No clue on how to fix it though, sounds like the brush got the worst of it. From now on id just take the anger out on a door, its good for bragging rights plus it wouldnt cost as much to fix. Thats my opinion

I once slipped off a bolt with an open-end wrench and donated some skin to the car, got so pissed, almost through the wrench at the car and decided not to at the last second, instead throwing it at the shopvac across the garage. I nailed the shopvac, it fell over onto my car! denting the fender.

haha... I kicked the shopvac when I was taking off the bumper...
It fell off and landed on my gut.
I was angry and ran up to kick the shopvac, I completely forgot it was full.
So I spent the next hour mopping up... goo....
About the lights.
I went to a pull apart, it seems like the passenger side is the one that breaks, I found 6 assemblies, of those 3 had broken right sides, 2 were missing the right side, and 1 was just gross.
I wish I would of broken the driver's side.
Anybody got one for sale for about 15-20 bucks?

Unless I used that patch stuff.
It would prbably look really ugly, but once the black outs go on it all would look fine.
But I think I will just end up buying the extra one that Steve has.

I emailed you a picture of the tail light assembly that I have. If you don't get the email let me know. So far it hasn't bounced back so I'm assuming you got it. Let me know if you want it or if you didn't get the email.

I didnt get it... Maybe attach the image inside of a PM for me.
People said that to get 85-90 tailights to fit on a 1983 trans am, I would need a new wiring harness... well before I broke it, i got it to fit fine.
Is there different types? Is there a possibility Steve's passenger side light wont fit correctly?

Here's a pic. I got a message that said that your email bounced back again. I'm not sure why that's happening. I edited the picture and made it small enough to attach here.
As for it fitting properly. If you're putting 85-90 Trans Am lights on an 82-84 Trans Am or Firebird the wiring harness is exactly the same. The only problem would be if you wanted to put 85-90 Firebird lights on it. The ones with the amber turn signals are the ones that are a problem. The reason I took these off my car was to put a set of 82-84 Trans Am lights on mine. They fit perfectly and I didn't have to change anything. My car was an 86 Trans Am.

If u can fix it, it will be time consuming..
and results wont be perfect.
Combine both time-effort-and result,
and u could probably get a used one
at the salvage yard.
