where do the hood pins go???

where do the hood pins go???

im ready to start drilling holes for my pin on hood.
its fiberglass cowl induction and pins on in the front. can anyone tell me where the pins are supposed to go? pics would be great.

They should go on the radiator support. The long metal bar that goes from fender to fender behind the headlights.

yes but where on the radiator support? will i need to drill holes or do i reuse a hole that is already there?

anyone have any tipws about doing this?

You need to line everything up where you want it to be and drill new holes--in the rad. support and in the hood.

oh man thanks a lot for those pics. now i know exactly where to start drilling.
im goin out to do it tomorow.

any tips on doing this? anything i should know not to do? its a fiberglass hood.

one tip.. be carefull..

seriously idk should be no prob i would use a smaller drill bit that the hole then get a dremmal and round out the hole to how big you want! other than that good luck let mme see a b4 and after!

alright the holes are drilled and now its time to take after pics but until then heres what it looked like way before....meaning the hood and bumper have been painted since this pic....

its still just a 350 TPI and i am using the hood for the looks, although i am planning on building a new high performance engine so if i go carbed then the hood will be perfect for a high rise intake

I mounted mine on the core support where the little bumper stop things are at.

just make sure if u install the pin first then do the top
dont drill into the raised portion of the radiator support make sure its a lower part
if u try to put it into the higher part u will have problems like i did but do what u want
ill post pics as soon as i get my car back
2 or 3 days
i have hook locks by the bumper and hood pins up by the windshield
