89+ wheels will bolt up with 4th gen adapters. Since you said 16x9.5, I'm guessing they are 88 or older wheels, which have a unique offset. Skulte can probably make the adapters, but without them the offset will be off.

you would need adapters, might beable to get away with them on the back but the front might rub depending on your supension, if its sagged or not but better off to get adapters made so it looks just right, will be much happier with the end results

Jim...you Know GM would never put any ugly *** wheels on a corvette!

I think what made them look good on his car was the fact that there wider. And his car is lowered, so they filled up the wheel well.

Anyone have any pics of these different types of C4 wheels? I bought my friends old wheels off his C4 Corvette for $150. They are 17x9.5 all around with 275/40/zr17 BF Comp T/A rubber with about $60% tread left. But the weird thing is, when I look on Ebay to check if they were a 88 or 89+ style, none of the wheels on any C4's listed look like the ones I bought. I'll be the first to admit they look like ***, but I'm hoping they will work with 4th gen adapters. I'm planning on painting them black and using them for daily driving.

If they are 17", they will work with 4th gen adapters. 17" wheels weren't available until 88, which is when they went to the 4th gen offset too.
