stupid tint, never though it would this big a problem!
k i got a problem now. i brought my car into get the windows tinted and the last owner had nasty cheap tint on and was bubbleing so i took off what i could but there is lots still stuck to it and comes off in the smalles pices. i asked tint king to do it all, they went from 100 to tint just the back window to 200 because of the old tint pluse they give me garentee on the defrost. so now i dont no what to do, is there anything i could use that would just make that stuff come off easy??? also i got a 84 firebird with perfect tint on the back window but i dont think the glass would fit on a 83 z28 because it looks like the metal part were the spoiler is is bigger on the z28 then my firebird, does anyone no if it will fit????
any ideas would be geat my back window look so nasty place its hard to see out of.
thanks

Do some searching around at differant stores. I know they make a tint remover and it comes in a spray bottle.

The stuff in the spray bottle at the store doesn't work for crap! I tried and failed miserably! I posted a question about this a while ago and was told to use ammonia. I also had a customer at work that said to use the same thing (he used to work for a tinting company for 2 years). Get some brand new straight razors and a six pack of beer... it's a lot of work to get the stuff off.

that hatch from your bird will fit the maro. i had to take tint off once, boy was that a job, 4 hours 2 packs of razors and a few cuts later it was off.

I've never done it, but perhaps a heatgun and a razor would work then you can use some cleanign solution to take care of the residue. Anyone ever use a heatgun?

I hace to say just pay the money to have them do all the work. I paid 160 for mine but that was with a perfect window that never had anything on it. Plus if they gaurantee they wont mess up ur defroster i think thats a good deal. If you do do it yourself walk away if you get frustrated. IF you're getting pushy the defrosters going to take a dump.
