DAMN! I never noticed the "bling bling" caliper until now!!! That looks great! Anyway, an angry mob awaits more pictures!!!!!!! For your car is truly... EYE KANDIE
boze claims to have the highest polish luster out of any billet wheel company; after working with boyd, budnik, hre, iforged, etc. it's true. they are a bit more then some but they are a much nicer wheel.

Car: for now my Jeep while im building my Camaro
Engine: building a 350 with about 440HP and 450lb
Transmission: W.C. T-5 dont know how it will hold up..
wow man very nice car. im thinking of gettin mine repainted soon and was wondering what paint mixture that is. i love that color it really stands out from the ordinary and thats exactly what i want my IROC to do sorry if i seem like a poser but damn that color is bad *** and those wheels are vrey nice too. good job man....
thanks for the compliments guys.
the paint is a custom mixture of gold and silver metallic base with red house of colors candy clear and some blue pearl to top it off with more clear.
and yes i could pick up a low mileage stock version for the price most people charge for these type of paintjobs. your looking at roughly 2500 in the paint itself which isn't too bad but still quite pricey and then you need all the other supplies along with the labor added onto it. most places in my area charge anywhere from 7500-15,000 for a candy color depending on the depth (layer) or scheme you want.

damn and i tought my boss was nuts when he spent $7000 on his paint job, (house of color gold)elkamelon (i know i spelt it wrong)
i'm not familliar with that color. i could have painted my car twice with chromillusion if you want to get an idea.
candies are the most expensive mainly because of the intensive labor to produce the layers. very tricky stuff to get it right.

yup....
Candy paint is the hardest to lay on, I know from experience. Not only do you have to spray it side to side, you need to go vertically also. This is so the metallic does not "checker". If you don't do candy right it looks like ***, ugly as hell. It's really not that hard on the vertical parts of the car because the metallic drops a tad and fills in any gaps. But the flat surfaces like the hood and the roof, trunk are a royal pain to get right.
The look when you get it right is pretty killer though, I must say. My Dad's old Truck was in Off-Road magazine that I built. We painted it with Candy Blue paint....$184 a quart. I got into an accident with it and had to re-paint the rear quarter...needed another quart to paint it...heh at least the insurance company was willing to pay for it....we fixed it ourselves for about 400 bucks and then put an extra 3g's into the truck!!!!

ok, asked my boss what the name of the paint exactly was. He emailed me this link. this is not his car, and i know its a mustang but its just to show you guys the color.
sick looking color
his car is a 96 Trans Am. ram air, vert
Giovanni GF1's 18"x10"-295's
19"x12"-335's
Willwood brakes on all four cross drilled and slotted
Bird of Prey kit
stock ram air hood
(just to give you guys an idea on what she looks like
no pictures of the car are taken yet because he wants to make it a complete show car and evrything is perfect on her. the car is gouges and just needs to have the interior redone along with some more suspenion and a custom instal on the radio.
when all done and said i will post picks of my car and his so i can post them here, my camaro will be in there just so its 3rd gen related.

thats the only pic that he has of anything being remotly close o is. his didn't exaclty come out like that, he won't let me take pics of his car o i can't show you guys
there are a fewcompanies that make that color dupont being one. it's a chromillusion color and is quite sharp. it was definately one that i was considering but i'm not a fan of the gold, i like the gold in how it helps but i didn't want a gold camaro and unfortunately when the sun hits it the gold shows the most. i wanted a deep red so i went the route i did. sometimes i wish i went with that color though because touchups would be really simple and it would cost less to paint.
is thirdgen.org working slow for anyone else. it's very slow for me lately.

It keeps getting better and better man. Very nice work so far! I love it. Up until these recent pictures of your car i really did not like the color but for some reason it looks different. Maybe its the light in your previous pictures. Now it looks like it really has depth to it. Also, i think the drop is pretty damn close to being perfect, not much better than that. Looks good. Not too low and not to "factory" looking. Pretty slick! later-Bryan

i've gotta get one more question in, is your car lowered at all or is it just the rims throwin me off? if it has been lowered, how much?
which picture are you asking....with the new rims it is lower then stock in all of them but some pictures have a lower drop then others depending on what i was doing that week. with the coilovers i can drop it 4".

uhm...the ones with the z06's......or these....basically what i guess i wanna know, is how much space do you try to keep between your fenders and your tires
well with the z06 wheels i had to actually raise the car to stock level so i had almost a 2 1/2" fender gap which is why they had to go.
with the boze wheels i can move the car wherever i like. the fender gap you see in most of those pics range from 3/4-1 1/4" and usually i drive the car with 1/2" front gap and the rears close to 1" to leave room for travel. at shows there aren't any gaps typically.

sweet, thanks man, i'm gettin y2k vette wheels in 17's...love the stance your car has, hope mine looks half as good as yours when i'm done...any problems with the vette wheels i should be aware of? i assume the Z06's have all the same specs as the Y2K's
nothing major, most info can be found out just searching. z06 wheels are 9.5 front and 10.5 rear. i'm assuming you either went 8.5 and 9.5 rear which would be best or 9.5 all around.
well there are enough companies out there making 8.5 vette wheels that are so close to our offsets you all most don't need adapters. 8.5's will be fine all around so long as you space them right with the proper measurments on your adapters.
