I have the California car cover. The cheaper one. About $120. Water does get through, but it has to be permeable so that water can evaporate as well. I have never had any dirt get through. Do I have to wash it after it rains? Well, If I'm going to a car "event" or show...yeah, but No dirt get's through, so I guess it's doing it's job!

I'm happy with it.

not sure of the website (search) but I got it from california car covers website...Ok, I found it.

http://www.calcarcover.com/default.asp?flash=1

I got the multiweave II. It's worth it to get the $5.00 bag with it too. I didn't get the lock though.

Mine fits great, but would NOT fit the hi-rise, so yes, It is custom fit to your car.

I can't speak on the stormweave, but from what I hear, CCC is top notch, and from my experience, they live up to that reputation for quality. I'm very happy with my cover.

From the description, it sounds like it would offer more protection than the multiweave, and I'm sure it does. Keep in mind that no cover is gonna be 100% weatherproof, because the paint HAS to breathe and any moisture needs to evaporate. What are your specific needs? My car sits under a tree and is only driven on weekends. I need protection from cats, dirt, leaves, sap, small twigs, and dirty rain water. The multiweave is perfect for these tasks. Even though the water does get through, NO dirt from the water makes it through. I can even see the dirt stains starting to appear on the cover where it's being deposited during rain.

I see you're in Cinci. I'm in NC. I'm sure you're winters are quite a bit rougher.

...maybe the stormweave isn't a bad idea.

Mine is a California Car Covers Stormweave cover. It is super soft on the inside and very protective. Downside is that it cost me $300 shipped or something like that. Heres a pict of the fit.

Fits about as good as my old crappy car cover... Mine didn't have the cool mirror pockets though Also in the rain, it let all the dirt through so I didn't bother puting it back on. How does that stormweave hold up in the rain?

I love mine too.....

I also have a California Car Cover for my GTA. My cover is a Softweave Cover, since the car is stored inside. It is extremely soft on the inside to protect my Black paint. I would highly recommend CCC covers to everyone. The fit is Excellent. A little pricey but well worth the extra money when trying to protect your investment. The website is www.calcarcover.com

I love you guys... I was just doing research into what car cover to get. My $30 Pep Boys one just wasn't cutting it. Plus I know why the mirror pockets can come in handy. Now all I have to do is shave my atennae (good idea anyway) so that I can put it on without having to remove it.

I have a Covercraft one, its 150 dollars, and came from Pep Boys. I hope that I purchased a decent one, because you guys seem to think Storm-Weaver and California are the best. This Cover does its job, it has four different layers, and fits a little on the loose side, but I figure that there isnt any hard winds around here, so its fine.

does anyone happen to have one of these car covers for a 91 or 92 Z28? I'd like to see how the fit is with the highrise spoiler. If it fits good....count me in for one of these.....the car cover I bought from autozone isn't very good......everytime I uncover my car...it looks like a big ball of dirt....looks bad.....
another thing.....does anyone know if there are actual "wheel" covers forsale? I just bought my new wheels...and would like to cover those up as well.....if I can't buy some kind of covers for them....I guess I could use trash bags???

very very very nice lookin car cover. Does anyone on here have one of these? They almost even shine like metal....like nothing is going to get through the cover! The only thing....is...that I didn't see a listing for any third gen Camaro's...including the 91 or 92 Z28's....
