i didn't buyvthey , yet. a guy who lives down the block from my job has them on his C5 and i asked about hem one day while i stopped traffic and he said he is thinking about selling them for some HRE or Z06 rims.
he said that if i came up with a set of OEm Z06 rims w/ new tires he would trade me but the Z06 rims must be pholished and OEm. so i might just pay him the $1350 for the rims and tires as soon as i get some cash-

oh and he installed a set of 4 piston claipers and baer rotors. i lifted this rim up and it is light- probbly around 35-40lbs w/ the tires. thats a 18" rim baby-

hmm i just did a search on the net for some mag wheels....found some for beamers and mercedes and junk that were "magnesium alloy" and cost 200 bucks a piece.....i guess it all depends on the quality of the rims and the quantity of magnesium in the rims? Because i was under the impression that race quality mag rims ran from 2000-5000 a piece....id like someone slightly more informed to comment on this though.

well, i'll give you this much, i've looked for mag wheels on motorcyels, and they where about 1000-1500 and up... then it went to like.. 3 grand for carbon fibre, but we rean't talking about that. So.. if a motorcyle wheel is 1000-1500, i'd imagine car's are far more expensive.

I think those wheels look fantastic... far better than the standard C5 wheels. About the only color C5s that they look odd on are bright red and silver cars.

If for some reason you decide not to get the wheels from him, let me know. I can get some of those for about $180 for the 17x8.5 and about $190 for the 18x9.5. I also have access to ZR-1/SS wheels (17x8.5 & 17x9.5-$180, 17x11-$190) in silver and black. ZO6's 17x9.5-$190 & 18x10.5-$200. I have access to just about every GM/Ford/Dodge production wheel. If you find them cheaper, let me know and I will try to beat it. I am in the process of setting this up through one of our vendors at the shop. Let me know if any of you are interested. I will post further details as I get them.

Thanks,
Brit

They rock! I know someone who put simmular covette rims on his new black sonoma. OMG! that Truck looks nice like that. But he had to get some spacers that were like 100.00 each. That got expencive. Might want to look into that if you have to get any kinds of addapters, I dont know really. Would just be a bad suprise.
