you've had some pretty awesome things done to your RS man.....it looks good now....and to me...it looked good then. But....you had to create your own monster...right? haha....cause that's exaclty what I did

 

I love your car man Except for the Grill (not a big fan of billit) But damn that thing has come a long way. Are you like me and have a zillion parts in your garage? And *ps* can sheep walk when it rains?

 

dude your car looked awesome back when it was stock, but it looks even better now, damn dude u've came so far, i would do anything for your car, just looking at it everyday i get on this site makes my jaw drop, i dont dislike ANYTHING you have done to your car, i cant wait till i get my car in the shop next month for a new paint job

I kind of like it more stock, although I would take some of the mods you did like headlights, billet grill, shaved door handles and 2ndgen scoops and put the on the stock looking one.

 

Sooo... that would be about everything except the "kick *** spoiler out back" (+clear side markers & all red tail lights)?

I liked the stock color better than the current color. I would like it better if it had kept that darker greenish bluish color, but still put on all the modifications you did.

Indeed they do; However I feel a "moderator" should help to maintain a positive environment and "moderate" board users by setting an example with a positive influence. It's comments like his that start flame wars in which case they have to step in and be the "big boy" and close it because someone was being uncivil or rude.

 

your cars nice, was nice back when u got it too. i thought it was painted with the orginial color? only thing i dont like is the rims, and grill. spoiler im not a fan of but it goes well with the car

 

Thank you. Moderators moderate, its simple. Believe it or not we still have opinions. He posted his pics, obviously expecting replies, which I gave him and other have as well, be it positive or negative. I respect his work on his car, but I don't like the wing or the rims. Other than that the car isn't bad, just not my taste. Gee, would you believe that. Some people have different tastes than others, including moderators.

 

The car looks wonderful....and the sheep give it a real homey, pastoral setting that accentuates the supple curves of the car and make you want to caress the sweet clear coat while whispering sweet nothings in the side mirrors....

Oh *ahem*, anyway....great ride!

 

At what point did I say Moderators should be opionless? I didn't; I agree that anyone and everyone with a pulse is entitled to an opinion. My arguement was why a moderator would be so hasty about an opinion; what part of that says "don't have one"? It doesn't. My point was moderators should promote a positive atmosphere. There are many posts saying about the same thing about the spoiler/rims, just done it a much more tasteful, polite manner.

I also think that mods(the one in question here) could express opinions in a more positive way.

As soon as someone says the word "hate", people automatically go on the defensive, and then the thread goes down from there.

I think a more appropriate comment from a mod would be.."I do not like those wheels" as opposed to " I hate......"

Just my opinion though.

I think his car looks great, while the wing may not be my cup of tea, he has done an outstanding job and i praise him for that.

You're car looked awesome then, and it looks awesome now. A whole lotta props to you for all the time and effort you've put into that thing. I just can't get around that teal colored park bench you've got sitting on the rear man...j/k Great work man.

 

While i am not a fan of the wing it is a rear wheel drive car and therefor it does serve a function so i have no problem with it. I will say that the rims do nothing for the car though. I was wondering if the little vents right after the front wheels are functional or just an eye catcher???

EDIT: actually as sorry as i am to say this i just realized i like the stock look of the car better What i dont like about your car is how over stated everything is. The colour really stands out...the rims really stand out....the wing really stands out.....ideally for me everything on a car should blend together but with your car its like whoah i need sun glasses just to look at it. The nice thing about it in the stock form (other then the paint i love the original colour) is the tips. The whole exterior of the car is bone stock and with some sweet tips the car looks like its hiding something. Looks totally mean and gives the feeling of being a sleeper. But thats just my opinion.

 

Wow, it has come a long way man. I must say your third gen is my favorite third gen on this message board. I love everything you have done to it.

Sam,your car looks great! I always like to see the different mods that people do to thier rides. I dont really like to see any thirdgen stock. Your car has come along way & looks totally bad-azz!! Keep up the good work & good luck with everything!

 

Im not a huge fan. I really dont like the rims, spoiler, grill and those silly fender vents. I dont wanta be mean, but I really think it looks very tacky and just plain old silly. It looked way better when you first got it!!!

Where I live your car would turn a lot of heads. It's better that not all Camaro's look the same, right?

 

I can pass on the spoiler and the rims also, the car over all though looks very well done.


Us Moderators keep the peaceon the boards and make sure you all have a good and crap free time on these forums. So other than that what makes us anymore different than you guys? i take my job seriously, but if someone wants an honest opinion, then let it be said. i have had people say they hate stuff on my car, but i let it go because it's an opinion. It's people that linger on it and make it a big deal that start to make a thread start to go down the drain.

I am jealous of this car ever since I first saw it... following its progression to stardom. I love the way it looked stock, and I love it still today. I'm gonna have to buy another Camaro just so I can make one more outspoken than yours.

By the way, have you had any problems with the nose sinking in from wind resistence? I know it happens to pretty much all of our Camaros here, but you've done a ton of mods; I wonder if you addressed that... Any input?

Well first off let me thank you guys for the compliments.......It's been a long 4 years since i owned the car, and hopefully the modding will continue.....

That picture was taken when i lived in Iowa......I have yet to see many sheep in florida.....

It's a brighter shade of teal, and under the street lights it kind of changes to blue

This could get a little akward if we continue this conversation, but glad to see someone else is dreaming my car is a convertible and not just me....

 

Hey, at least I didn't say something like "I dreamed about you topless last night" or "I dreamed you took it all off last night". :P

 

How long ago was that. from personally taking a car from a basket case to something of show quality like mine is now i understand all the work and long hours these things take as everyone else probaly can too. The transformation was incredible i personally rate your car right up next to kandied91z's ride for nicest thirdgen. It may have a few riclookign parts but everything is done tasteful and not off the wall. Unbelievable its great looking at the pics from start to finish i know mine didnt even look the same when i look back i cant even imagine how i drove it the way it was for so long until i got it "done".

I have a pic from the day about an hour after i brought it home i'm going to scan and post to show my major transformation.

Agreed.........I think the RS looked alot better back when you first got it. It just looks too fabricated now.
