91-92 front or 85-90

My friend got in a fender bender and will need a front bumper for his Trans Am he is not sure if he wants a newer one 91-92 or the 85-90, he already had the 85-90 but his brother has a 92 and he likes the way they both look and can't make up his mind on what to get, which ones do the majority of you like 91/92 or 85/90.

With GFX, 85-90. Without GFX, 91-92.

I've got all the 91-92 gfx from the rockers back, and the back bumper if he wanted to do a complete conversion.
Was going on my Formula, but I don't have the sill brackets to mount the rockers on the car.

In my opinion, the 85-90 trans am bumpers are the best. However, if your friend already has an 85-90 T/A, then the 91-92 front bumpers will need custom fab work because they are a little bit wider. 91-92 front bumpers didn't just change in appearance, they are also a different size.

Bumper Size

The 91-92 cars cant be any wider than 85-90 so how can the bumper be wider?
