Coolant tanks and motor cleanup pics

Alot of you suggested no to the chameleon on the tanks and stuff under the hood but i did it anyway. The coolant tanks, strut tower tops and radiator support are chameleon ice. First time i sprayed this stuff and was pretty impressed it changes to pretty much every color. The vapor canister and intake pipe are chameleon gold/magenta. I cleaned up the valve covers and gunked the rest of the motor real good and painted the plenum and top of brake fluid resivor aluminum and everything looks sweet.

I left about a 1/4 inch window in the tanks to see the levels the only problem is i scratched the overflow tank putting the intake pipe back in but its not that bad.

Hey, not too shabby! Did you do anything to try to get the surface of the tanks/bottles smooth? Coo, I dig, I dig

I still don't like the coolant containers painted, but it does look good on your intake.

I agree with devianb, the bottles look cheesy painted. I don't really like that paint anywhere in the engine bay. And that Firebird "GT" sticker is horrible, IMO.

i'm not a fan, but is surprising to see all the positive response. i'd have predicted differently.

glad you're happy with it.

I think it might look ok if it matched something else (like your exterior) but to just unleash a krylon spray bomb under the hood doesn't really do it for me.

Eh. ::shrug::

I agree, it would be better if it actually matched something.

It is hard to tell what that type of paint looks like in pictures though. May look better/worse in person (video..?)

Cavvy seats fit? Does it take modding?

Cavalier seats fit fine. THe catch is that you have to use the rails from your camaro seats. Make sure you get 2dr seats otherwise they won't recline or have the holder for the shoulder belt. THey fit me fine and are more comfortable than the stock seats as far as I am concerned.

I think the gold/magenta on the intake is awesome... a totally new idea. Forget chrome or polished under the hood.

Get rid of all the other colors; it just looks too messy. Get the stock bottles back in there, as well as the brake reservoir cover. Anything that's polished or chrome (like intake tube, fuel rails and lines if you have them, valve covers, WHATEVER), paint them in chameleon gold/magenta. I think that would be awesome.

um not my thing it looks out of place and does not match. i cant stand cavi seats they are to wide for my taste.
but i dont dont think the firebird sticker is bad, except for the GT part, take the GT out and center the firebird sticker (thats what i would do) but are those stickers???
so what did u do buy a new computer or HD u use to have so much issues with space. anyway good luck and keep up the good work.

My eyes suck. When I see cars with that changing color paint, all I see is a freaky looking purple.
