are you trying to reference the fact that i said for people not to complain about my rims but i complained about someone elses?
The reason i told people not to complain about my rims is because ive put up posts before and i already am well aware that most people dont like them. Dont see why that removes my right to comment on peoples rims that i dont like?

Whow, calm down bro, if you've seen any of my other posts on the boards here I joke alot, I just found it kinda amusing. Believe me I hate people that start fights in threads. I think your rims look perdy tight actually. I almost looked into Boyds myself...

Excellent choice of rims for your car, 97-1LE, they look absolutely great with the color as well. I'll always keep my stock rims around....but I'm heavily tempted by those!

So do using spacers for your rims have any negative effects on your vehicle? I'd love to put Corvette replicas on my car and other newer rims but our cars have the weird offset. I'm aprehensive about spacers though....

Can someone tell Kandied not to post pics of his car. It looks too good and makes me cry every time I see one... Did you ever find a good polishing compound for those new wheels man?

follow this mans advice *tpiroc*
they are by no means the "best" casting from that company but they seem to do the trick and work very well. fear not as the adapters hold up during autox as well as drag racing. they do alter control on the street but some either don't notice are willing to sacrifice.
personally the extra 300 i spent for custom billet wheels was worth it but if i were to save going afs or some of the others i would have kept the z06.
as far as the polish........mothers billet aluminum is the best i've found at $13 for 4 .oz which is way too much in my opinion but it works. still need to use carnuba though.

@ 90RS305: Yeah, I went ahead with a 2" adapter on all four and it seems to work out about right
@ Kandied: Thanks for the info, I've used Mothers Aluminum polish, but I suppose I should consider the billet. I've also considered clear coating them after extensive polishing. As far as the finish goes; I've yet to see a flaw and I do love to sit and gaze lovingly at them

alot of it depends on the actual metal itself. for billet aluminum so far they are definately the best i have found but for stainless steel and other larger pore metals the mothers doesn't work as good.
it's all trial and error. for more budget oriented ideas blue magic metal polish works almost as good as the mothers and at only $4 for 6 oz. it's a much better deal. at 1,000 a rim i figure it's best to make them look as good as possible but i use the blue magic on my underside and engine bay.

black zr1's look good on the grand sport where they belong. on that car they look like your running spares, obviously the real rims would look better then photoshop but it doesn't look nearly as nice as the stock rims do.

Actual ZR1's, not photoshopped.
Look pretty good to me. To each his own I guess. StevenK, try your luck on ebay. AFS wheels almost always has them. I've seen them go for under $400 for 17x9.5 all around, if you get lucky. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2440816112 I haven't actually gotten them yet...You could save yourself some time and cash on rear spacers by gettin a fourth gen rear(bolts right up, just get the parking cables). Then ud have a sweet brake set up show off under the wheels and wouldn't need spacers since the offset would be correct . Heres a pic of a third gen with the wheels actually on.

It really depends on the color of the car to me. Those ZR1's look really good on the black car, but for the red car I think polished aluminum would look better. My car is GunMetal Grey so I think chrome/polished would look good, but black would be an eyesore.
