Personally, I think it would look good, but I don't really like it for the sake of working in the engine bay. I have a tough enough time tracking parts that fall into the stock engine bay. I'm more in favor of polished, painted, or stainless steel bits. (I forbid any usage of chrome for my car).

I am curious as to see what an all black engine bay would look like myself.

I am gonna do an all black theme with my pet 305 builup. I don't really think it will look great, but it will be kinda cool. Plus it'll be easier to identify it if I have any real motors lying around.

i like to have a black block and heads with aluminum intake, and chrome plated steel stuff. anything aluminum looks good in aluminum.

Add a little something.

black is great...but add some accents to complement the dark block. Mayve something polished over even chrome like novass:

I did my latest motor all black. Everything from pan to intake, pulleys, all of it. Only color is the red Chevrolet on the valve covers Looks badass. Problem is the pics I have are too big to post so email me and I will send you one if you want to see.

From what I understand, regular powdercoating won't handle the heat...

like i said before, i think it looks really good but would look better with an aluminum colored (or polished) intake.
