Hey guys-
I finally got around to taking some pics of my car, and snapped a few of the spoiler. Let me know what you think, whether you like, dislike, or just dont care
I personally think it looks alright, and it seems to flow with the body lines pretty good. But the main reason it's on there is because my original deck lid was rotted out, and I had this one with the spoiler sitting in my basement. It was easier than filling the formula holes and redrilling for the 3 piece, third brake light spoiler. If I decide I don't like it, I'm gonna go with the Z28 hi-rise they used on the 91-92's.
Let me know what ya'll think

It's not that bad, but I say no.
go with the 3 pc. or the Hi rise.

i had that spoiler on one of my camaros, it looks pretty good, better than the 3pc imo
I like the three piece one better.
IMO, I like it .

Do you have a head on rear end shot? How far does the spoiler stick out on the sides? It looks pretty good on there as it is. It'll look even better when everything is painted up

i think it looks no better and no worse then any of the other stock spoilers, it flows very nicely with the lines of the car, and gets roughly 100 point bonus because youll probably never see another car on the street with the same spolier.

Personally I'd like it better without any spoiler at all. Since that's apparently not an option, I think it looks alright as is. It's different and, as you said, it doesn't really look "out of place" despite the fact that it wasn't made for that particular car.
looks nice...if it aint broke...waste your money somewhere else

I really cant tell if I like it or not, kinda hard to decide till I see it all one color. Im sorry but I also have to mention it looks like the RS in the background is hopping up and down

I really dislike it, if you think thats better then the 3 piece you're insane in my opinion. Yeah its different, but different hardly ever means better in my experiences with third gens. It really reminds me of the spoiler they put on Corvettes, basically just like that and hangs over each side. Extremely nasty looking, but almost all spoilers look nasty on Corvettes anyways.
Hi-rise is decent, way better then that in my opinion.

i that all the time back home in alabama, but the average ******* that does it doesn't bother to fill the holes from the 3 piece.

I expected it to be either a love/hate thing anyways though, so no offense taken.
I do have a straight rear shot, but the car is jacked up in the front and it has to be the worst thirdgen angle ever...
Here you go

And I really like the idea that if it aint broke, I should waste the money elsewhere. I just bought some hooker shorties, and come springtime I'll be doing heads/cam

If you have an opinion to voice, let me hear it! As it sits right now, I'll probably get it painted with the spoiler on it. If I end up not liking it, it won't be to expensive to just have the new spoiler and the deck repainted.
Take care fellas

I love it! You're not the only one who's gone there.. I've got a firm belief third gens *need* something on the back to make 'em look right. Someone gave me a bird spoiler for my V6 way back in the day.. I wouldn't trade it out for anything now.. except maybe a 91-92 Z spoiler.. but I think I'd put that on my 88 first.
Yes, there's a slight photoshop to the image.. just brightness/saturation adjustment on an area that turned out otherwise jet black..

Wouldnt it make more sense to take the spoiler off the deck lid, put it back on after painting (wouldnt that be necessary anyways so you can get the underside of the wing with paint?) and then if you dont like it you can just take it off. I think itll need to come off anyways though for paintingOriginally posted by onebinky

The mounting holes are different between all the thirdgen spoilers, so the old holes would have to be filled, and new ones drilled. I don't think I could repair the paint to look good enough without repainting the whole panel.Originally posted by 19doug90

Looks good. I personally dislike the high rise, too big and flashy, but the three piece and that one look great. I say stick with it and be a bit differant.

To sum it up, basically said I really dislike it, but I'd rather you do what you like then for you to do what I like. It'd suck having every Camaro the same now wouldnt it

i like to think of everything i put on my car serving a function. The goal is to put things on that will serve a function and look really good all at the same time
The justification for putting that spoiler on is that it is a rear wheel drive car and it will give needed downforce. Now the next goal is to find one that looks nice and i feel that one really fits the body lines nicely. The only thing i dont really like is i feel that it sticks out about 2 inches to far on either side but thats just me being picky.

I think it looks great! The 1st pic is kinda funny since both cars are in the air it looks like a Matrix mid-air fight scene or something equally bizaar...

part of me likes it, but part of me hates it. is it going to get painted the same color as the body?
Yeah, it'll be cherry red just like the rest of the car
Hopefully that will be this winter, it can't stay ******* forever

Do what you like. not what anybody else cares about.
I say it looks good.

It's better than no spoiler, but I think it would look KILLER with a 5 in. IROC Daytona spoiler. I think Hawks is re-making that 5in. spoiler. I had any camaro 90 model and older, the IROC 5 in. would be on there.
