Paintjob: White or Black?
So? My cars currently black, I love white GTAs, but I'm not sure how white would look on a camaro. I like black, but its kinda, I dont' know, boring, would white look better?

I think it looks good
Black though imo looks better, that's what I'm going to whenever I get to paint the car again.

black only looks good if the body is 100% straight (i.e. show quality) and the paint is kept up so that no swirl marks develop. For a driver, I'd take white every time. my white GTA always looks better than my dark green vette, because the dark green shows EVERYTHING

Well assuming either paintjob is done correctly. I saw a kids 87' GTA with fresh paint, I though the car looked SOO good. The white just went along with the car, at the same time I'm not sure how well white would go on my car. I've seen ALOT of blacks cars on here that looked great, I really can't recall many if any white cars. I don't know if its the way the picture is, but black seems to look "glossy" in pictures whereas all the white pictures I've seen look dull.

Don't forget also that there's more to white than just plain white. I painted the GTA a pearl white and it's a phenominal color. It's got so much more depth than regular white, and NEVER looks dirty.

Yea Jim, I'm sure if I saw your car in person it would look great. However guys like 84customz and a few others with new black paint and that ASCD SS hood look great. I plan on getting that same hood, and I'm not sure how white would go. I can't seem to recall anyone on here with a white camaro with new paint.

Black IMHO is a very nice color for a 3rd gen if, as mentioned earlier, your body is straight and you can keep the swirl marks out. I love the black on my car and I am starting on another 3rd gen that I am going to paint black also. Not saying that white cars aren't good-looking... I just prefer black. If I were to ever do white, I would definitely go with a pearl white.

At the time of this pic, the paint was about two years old and dusty from driving to Dallas from Austin.

If you're willing to keep it clean, go with black. A clean black car looks better than a clean white car any day IMO.
But, you can keep a white car looking clean for a lot longer than a black car. I wash and wax my car and then go for a little cruise and its dusty when I come back.

I know how white is easier to hide imprefection and etc etc.
But to ME, personally, when I look at a white car, and I look at a black car, the black seems to have more depth, and look better. I don't know if pearls or special whites will give that look, but RSPEED, ur car is an example, that black looks glossier and deeper then the white car posted before. Again pictures don't tell the whole truth..I don't know if anyone understands.
Sort of, the characteristic that makes black show all it's faults etc, also means if its done right that is seems to show it's beauty better as well.

As light gets less on white is when it starts to show off. Below is a contrast. The truck is one I painted awhile back but shows white with direct light and more depth with a shadow cast on it. My bird is in the garage and shows how nice white can reflect in dark light.
That's just my opinion though

BLACK ALL THE WAY! It looks cool all the time, day or night! I love cruising at night in my car. It does tend to get dirty faster, but you can't beat the look. I even put limo tint on the side and rear windows and it looks SWEEEEEEET!

Since your car is already black, I'd keep it black. Either is sharp though. In a weird way, I think it'd depends on the quality of the paint job, black has got to be done right. You can fudge a white paint job and not know it, but you'd be in big trouble with a fudged black paint job.
