Here's my car and as you can tell on the bottom there is a grey stripe that goes all the way around, is it paint or a decal, and if is a decal how easy is it to take it off? I know my car looks like the front is high, but its sitting on a hill.

I have no idea about the stripe, just wanted to say that's a very clean looking early thirdgen.

It's a decal. My sister's SC had the same thing.

its a decal , they can be taken off, the shops use rubber wheels to like melt the decal off , you gotta be careful b/c the paint maybe faded. so it might look funny with the decal off.
Thanks for the compliments. The reason I ask is that I would like to put ground effects on my car, but I dont want them to be grey. Can you take the decals off yourself, or would it be better to have a shop do it.

if you havent doen body work before , or havent taken off car decals , then i think you should have a shop do it. It will probably cost 125-175 bucks, but that isnt much compared to the damage you could do to it. WIth a heat gun you could bubble the paint.
Here's a better shot at it....

Use a heat gun set on a moderate setting and a razor blade and it will come off easily

Honestly I would leave it on. If your car has ever been repainted, you may pull the decals off only to find that the masking job for the 2 colors was not the greatest. When my dad and I repainted my sisters car, we redid the original 2-tone charcoal and white paint like yours. It looked funny without the pinstripes. The decal kinda makes it 'fade' from the dark to light color.

There is a decal that separates the main color from the secondary color. The bottom color is paint. Only the decal between them is not paint.

Well you said your getting gfx. So get them to take the decals off and it its faded paint over it when they paint the gfx. But I believe the bottom part is painted, just the little stripes on top are decals like Jim said.
Ive decided not to put gfx on, and instead lower the front end. Thanks for your help.
