Pics of new ride and new start on tgo
I know i have a bad rep from all the stories i made up about my firebird from before, However i have a new car and want everyone to try to forget about the past and give me a new start here. I bought a 91 RS its a 305 tbi Flynlow92RS help me out but i'm pretty sure the color is light maui blue its the same color as his. A teal color it has a good straight body and a leather interior that i'm ditchin for some 4th gen leathers. THe car has 100k on it but i have to say i'm damn impressed with its performance I may even venture out to say it could keep up with a stock 350. THe car is bone stock from teh airfilter tto the exhaust i'm planning on alot of mods for it. Going to get a 4" cowl hood and the 5" spoiler from hawks soon. Had it two days and smoked a chick in a newer rustang and multiple ricers. Its kinda funny they do their little ***** flyby, the look on their face is priceless when you roll up next to em and leave em way behind. Heres some pics it looks blue it really is that teal like flynlows. SO what u say guys can you give me a second chance no bs this time coming from me. I'll post what i have done to the car and nothing more

The tint is the only major thing done in the two days i've had it it was faded and peeling real bad so i had it done today. Ended up being 250 for them to peel off the old do the new 15% all the way around and a "sunshade" at the top of the windshield i love their work

I'll say yes to everything except the fact that you can keep up to a stock 350...
I owned a 91 RS... now I own a 92 Z28... the difference is incomparable, and my 92 Z is a 305 TPI stick...
my 91 RS was a slow piece of shiet.
you sure that car is teal? looks more like my car...

Sorry man, but a stock 305 TBI won't touch a stock 350 TPI. I had a 92 RS with a 305 TBI and it was really slow. They only had like 185 HP I think, nothing that great.

yeah no offense i think the only reason you think the 305 TBI is fast is cuz you had a v6 before...
but until you go test-drive a well-running 350 TPI, or come for a ride with me in my 5-speed 305 TPI (lol), you don't know what true "fast" is

My car looks the same "blue" when under lights at night.....although since my re-paint it's a more drastic change.....But yeah Irocbirdbuilder has a teal car.....not blue
Good luck with it.....
But yeah, the 305 TBI is no fun.........It seems fast until you ride in a real car.....then you get the 5.7 bug.....

ya know when youre on a roller coaster and right as it goes over a little hill or what have you ya get that seat of the pants feeling. Well in a nice running 350 you get that seat of that same feeling its awesome, gonna promise you youre not getting that same feeling although its all relative.
someone with a v6 would say a 305 is fast
someone with a 305 would say a 350 is fast
someone with a 350 would say a viper is fast
and someone who drives a viper top fuel dragsters are fast
my point being that while my car seems fast to me, to someone who drives something that runs 10 my car is as slow as molasses on a cold winter day

Thanks for the comments i will get pics of it in the daylight it the sky ever clears out here. I thouhgt of getting a new sn but i thouhgt it was just a waste of time. I admitted i bs everone before but like i said i want a fresh start. AS for the power i did some work today the plugs were gapped wrong put in a msd blaster coil and better cap and rotor had to re mount the dash piece under the drivers side and found the ecm looked at it for a little then my dad looked at it and sure as **** its got a jet chip in it. I'm trying to contact the previous owners son who was his car to find out whats doen to it. I had heard jet chips didnt work well in colorado at elevation but its gonna take some playing with it to find out. Thanks

nice car and sorry to get on your case but i have to stress the 92 tbi mototr has 170 hp, ive driven an a4 tbi and ive owned an lg4, they are not that noticably different as they are both slow. Theres worse but my l69 would pull the crap out of either and the l69 is still slightly out of 350 territory. Anyway good luck with it and id keep it close to stock except the motor, make it faster than any stock 350 thirdgen

Its an RS, so its not a 350 stock.
Unless the previous owner spent the time and money to put a 350 TBI in it and then sold it without telling you it had a 350, then you ahve a 305 TBI.

Ya know what dont even start with the here we go again crap casue thats not what it is i know stock it is a 305 i'm aware of that rs didnt have a 350 what i'm saying is we're THINKING he may have done the 350 bottom end on it. I havent checked the block #'s if its a 305 then its a 305 if its got the 350 block then great i'm not sure yet i have to check. ANd might i bring up the fact everyone does stuff to there cars that we dont like. I think i've been pretty cool with people doing stuff to cars even if i dont like it. I think i may have to change my sn. I dont want to be a pita its not like i'm going out of my way to change what my car is. IF its a 350 great if it is in fact the stock 305 then fine its still better than the v6 that was in the bird. SO now that thats hopefully over anyone have anymore comments on the car. ITs getting exhaust today.

It's kinda funny to see what power levels that different people think is fast. If you think the 305 is fast, more power to ya. If it stays that way, then you will have WAY more money in your pockets!
I am one of the unfortunate ones that think Z06's are fast (my car is quicker than a Z06), therefor my pockets are always empty!

Car looks clean man, take care of it... I know what you mean about how your car feels fast, when I first got my car I thought it felt like a rocket ship, but after about a month or two it isn't fast enough anymore, especially if you start losing races.

I was just saying that why would someone put the time, money, and effort to put a 350 in and then not tell people about it when he sold it. A 350 would probably get more money than a 305.

Then i got too comfortable and lost control around a corner doing 100 but we wont go there

Ok so his first post stated he wasn't gonna start b.s.ing and talkin all sorts of stuff after he already said some rediculis stuff? And now his car magically has a 350 in it? What gives dude
When I first got my L03 I thought it was fast cause i'd been driving a 88 cougar with a v6. Granted it is a decent motor and can keep up with alot of stuff on the street. The car I sold before I got my new maro was a supercoupe with a v6 and it would rape my L03...

so, is 13.9 on 87 octane gas with stock size runner heads on a 305 with some other mods including induction, cam, exhaust, and gears that is daily driven fast?
he says that he THINKS that it may have a 350 in it. before you guys start pulling the
on him, let him check his vin codes and check to see if it indeed has a 305 or a 350. i am sure that he will be honest enough to post pics of the block code if it's a 350 or to just admit that he has a 305...nuff said.

I took a look at that mortec site and found the block numbers when i was changing the oil ysterday and it is infact a 305 block. SO right now it is a 305 tbi with a previous owner installed jet chip that i dont think is doing much.
I have done an accel cap and rotor
msd blaster gm coil
3" ravin exhaust
I took some regular pics not on the digital at center ice with the camaro so when i get em back i'll find a scanner and post em to prove it really is a TEAL car and not blue.

Those last three posts were right on so it isnt a 350 i figure i'll run the 305 till it croaks and then build up a 350 to drop in. I just want to come, post and not get harrassed off. I FIGURE the only way of being able to do that is to be honest thsi time around. I really am impressed with the ravin it has that tone that gets you when a cars going the other direction and u hear it and are just like damn! the 3" with the ravin is the soiund i wanted.

Damn nice looking car, hope it gets some good use
I remember my 84 Z28... with the 5.0 H.O. (friends called it the five-oh hoe) and I thought it was fast till I got my 305 TPI...
BUT, that's the point. I didn't know it wasn't all that fast till I got a different one. So, do some good mods and go smoke some LG4's!!

Nice looking car man.
I am all about second chances, being honest is almost always the best policy.
I must admit, i was one of the ones who lashed out at you with the whole twin turbo thing. For that i apologize, and i hope things go better for you now.
