Anyone know what the penalty for not having front tags on your car in a state that requires them? I hate having the front tags on and I just want to know how much trouble I could get slaped with if I took them off and got puled over.

 

I got pulled over for no front plate and have to pay $10 cause I put it back on but If I would have left it off it would of been $30 its just a fix it ticket

 

here in toronto it's a $110 ticket for that... i just bitched at the cop and told him "i'm ****ing broke man, i got a speeding ticket last week" and he gave me a warning and didn't write me a ticket....... hahaha i never fixed it

 

Never had a front tag on my 87 IROC-Z since day one. Original owner and my state requires one. Just don't be a Dumb Driver.

 

i dont run one in ny. I had the holes filled last year ans this year i was never pulled over for it, I drove by tons of cops. I thought i would get pulled over but i didnt. ITs a lesser fine if your parked than if your moving. Like if they catch u in a parking lot . But i have a red trans am and have never been pulled over . SO i guess its just the local police. Play it by ear man .

IIRC it was upwards of $100

dont fool yourselves and others by saying it cant

 

In Jersey, I have seen cops pull over people for not having them, even when driving the limit. In one case they were doing 5 MPH in main street.

 

no front tag for me was 50 bucks and no points, but i was speeding also didnt get a ticket for that; wow a nice cop for once.

 

You'd probably be better off just calling the police station and asking.
