See-thru colored hood

Do you guys know if a company makes clear or see-thru colored hoods? I have a pic below that I got off of this site. I talked to the guy and he told me that it was a photo shop thing. So it's not real. But I think it would be cool to get a see-thru colored hood that matched the tone of the paint of the body like in the pic below. I plan on getting a 4th gen corvette several years down the road and I will put in a new engine, etc. and that would be an awesome way to show off my engine and engine bay.

If I got an OEM hood for my car, could I take it somwhere to be used to make a mold and get them to make me a see-thru hood? What material would this thing need to be made out of? I think it would be neat if all of the body parts were made like that, the front/rear bumpers, fenders, 1/4 panels, etc.

What do you think?

Shouldn't be too hard. There have been a few people on this board who have made rear windows with plexiglass and a heat gun.

Unless your engine bay is the shizznit I wouldnt do it. How bout taking it a bit further and make it a see through cowl hood! That might be cool for a show car.
