Just Read the Post!

OK, i don't even know what the hell to call this for a title so let me explain. Is there a way to take a picture of something and turn it into a .....i guess you'd call it a decal or something that you could put on the hood? I think i saw something like that on monster garage at about 3 in the morning but when i'm really tired, i tend to hallucinate (no joke) so i'm not sure whether or not i saw this, dreamed it, whatever. I listen to Death metal/ Black metal and the cd covers are 100% badass. I wanted to know if i could get a picture from a cd cover put on the hood of my car. Would i have to have it airbrushed? Is this possible? Am i a jackass? If this is possible, how much would it cost? Anyone who wants to know what picture i want on the car, check out "Storm Of The Light's Bane" and "Where Dead Angels Lie", both by a Swedish black metal band called Dissection. Sorry if this sounds stupid but i have to at least give it a shot.

I had a decal made by my friend who has his own sign shop. He used a shirt I had with a patch on the back of a certain companys logo. I believe he took a digital of the shirt and then transfered it to his comp and made a decal out of it. It was exactly the same as my shirt. Find a local sign shop somewhere and show them what you want. If one cant help you try another one.

A ghetto idea? Hell no, look at the damn thing, it would kick ***. It's kind of an inside thing between me and my friend. We don't give a $hit who else likes it.

I remember a long time ago I seen a couple of Vans painted in the scheme of wolves, fur interior, very nice gfx on the paint.. However unless you tend to spend upwards of $6000-$10,000 on an entire custom paint job, I can't really see you actually liking this decal. I know for a fact, no matter how much you like something you cant only take so much flaming before you too realise how stupid it is...

I like the way they have death drawn. The whole background obviously can't go on but the other cover has a much better picture.

Something that detailed needs to be painted on. Depending on how big you want it, the cost will be anywhere from $500 to $4000. You would have to talk to someone who does airbrushing and get them to give you a quote. And trust me on this one if you pick a great artist not one of these guys who just does it on the weekend it will look great. My cousin inlaw my parents van many years ago and it was awsome. At the time he did the van it would have cost about $7000 to do the whole van for us, but since it was a present it was free. Hope this helps.

Absolutely, thank you. To everyone else- all i asked for was an amount. I really don't care if you like it or not since it's not going on your car. Stop bitching. If you just plan on responding to be a dick then don't bother.

I'm in a band here in Gallup, NM. The other guitarist works a a place that makes signs and stuff. I had him make a small version of our symbol with scotch-light vinyl. It came out pretty badass. I have it at the bottom of the hatch glass.

Hmmmmm, that sounds like an excellent idea. Maybe i could do something like that. A lot of people around have things on their back window in memory of September 11th. I don't know how to really descibe it. I think it's like a "mesh" kind of decal. I think i should do something like that.

I work in a sign shop....scotchcal would work, but it looks like crap compared to paint. Depends what you consider "good". yeah, you "can" do it.

I like metal too....and I LOVE that picture....but I agree that would look terrible on your car. If you can't handle the criticism here, then there's NO WAY you should put it on your car, cause it's only gonna get worse. Maybe you came up with idea at 3 am, and you were hallucinating that it "wasn't" 3am, and you thought you had a good idea!!

LOL, Just kidding with ya man.....

I think that would be cool as hell for a tattoo, but not for the hood of a car........

Car Murals look really good on lowriders, but on sports cars, i don't see the same effect happening.....

I was with you until the just kidding part...........ya lost me lol. Maybe that wouldn't look so good on the hood but it would be great to put that on something like the rear window. I really don't care what other people think of what i have since i don't plan on making it a show car. As long as i like it, that's all that matters to me. After all, it's my car so i'm the one taht has to live with it. As far as being a jackass, i meant as far as whether or not i saw that, not if it was a good idea. Think about this though. There are kids all over with spoilers taht look like park benches on their cars, mufflers large enough for animals to make nests in them, those damn goofy *** blue headlights that blind you when they're behind you, spinning rims, light's for UNDER the car, the list goes on and on. Those people didn't care either and now tons of people have that. I'm not trying to set a trend or whatever you'd like to call it, just trying to give an example of how little other people's opinions mean.

NO, see..........the just kidding was my way of saying that even though your idea is ridiculous, I respect your opinion to do what you want....that's why I gave you advice.

I wasn't being hateful, I was pickin' on ya!! HA!

You deserve a fair response to your question. But you can't expect not get picked on. You'd rip on your buddy if he came up with a ridiculous idea!!!!

I didn't think you were saying it to be a dick, i was just kind of confused. You say why? I say why not? They have a big freakin bird on the hoods of firebirds (some at least), why not death? Thanks by the way. Apparently other people didn't see that it says not to bother responding if you're just doing it to be a scumbag.

OH HELL YES! YET ANOTHER DISSECTION FAN ADDED TO THE RANKS! Anyone else here a fan of Mr. Nodtveidt? O.K. We've pretty much thrown out the idea of that on the hood (although i still think you could blend it in there evenly if you make the rest of the car match) but how do you guys feel about that on the rear window?

You may be bothered by police if they feel it hinders your view I guess. Its not hard for a sign shop guy to make this for you. I think your back window idea would be unique if it took up the entire window. Post a pic when you get it done.
