What do you prefer in a car?

Just looking for what people look for their thirdgen, or what they like to modify their car for. Vote for the one thats most important to you and please a reason why, even though it may be obvious.

And mods if this ins't supposed to be here then feel free to move it to an appropriate board, and if it doesn't belong anywhere, well then ....... crap for me.

thats a tough question picking just one. I went with power but really my answer is 3 fold

Power - you can build a monster with these cars.
Style - No denying the awesome style of these cars and the ability to customize them with tons of aftermarket parts.
Affordability - Currently you can pick these cars up real cheap and you have an awesome platform to build on.

Its hard to pick just one, but I voted for power. I prefer a balanced combination of power, style, and affordability. I wouldn't want a 500 HP car if it was rusted to hell and 11 different colors. Just my opinion though.

I agree. Style is why I keep my thirdgen, but I was attracted to the power, handling and style when I saw my first thirdgen in the 80s. When I get more money, power and handling will be increased so it can run with the big guns...and keep up with its aggressive looks.

I vote for handling. After all, that's what I built my car to do. And handle it does.

that's a great question....

i have to go with style first as if i didn't care what the car looks like and wanted power i would have went with a lighter car.

secondly i'd say handling because it's so much fun to have a car that handles.

power would definately be next as the thrill of turning the key on a well tuned motor is just amazing

lastly i'd say comfort as it's very important but you have to have the other three to really enjoy it anyhow.

all the other points are nice and good to have but they are in a class of their own compared to the others above in my own eyes. who cares how fast you go if you don't look good and if you can't turn or stop with all that power what fun is it?

I voted affordability, you just can't find a more powerful, better handling car for the money.

If I had to pick ~JUST~ one it would probably be style. But my top picks are style, and power and handling tying for 2nd.

Definetly handling, after all that's what the GTAs were built for. But you still need power to get around those turns.

I voted for power, but I would pick performace which combines balanced power and handling. Our cars already have plenty of style, I like mine to be a sleeper.

well.. while its really EVERYTHING with mine, i voted "Luggage and Seating Space".

why you ask!?

because if i was only going to use the two front seats, and didnt want a 2+2, i could have bought a C4 for the same price.

i just happen to know that whatever girly girl i meet will probly have a friend with her.... or that i sometimes have/want to carry a 3rd person.. or i want to put some stuff in the car and still have the passenger sit comforably.

power which basically needs a good suspension for straight line performance.

then looks.

I have neither.

I am an all show no go type of person. I really like the style. Of course, having the power to back it up isn't so bad either.

To me, there is no point in going fast unless you look good doing it

I voted for handeling.. what good is power, if ya have no control. of course in our cars.. the two do go hand in hand.. So power is my next option.. style is already there.. it's a thirdgen.

There should be another one for being balanced. Lots of power w/ out any style sux, but trailer queens suck too. The best cars are cars that have a proper balance of all except cargo space, nobody needs more crap than our cars can hold.

Edit: Fun factor is a huge part of having a car. I have a total POS LUV that I got for fifty bones and it is possibly the most fun vehicle I've ever had. 4WD, and a body I couldn't care less about makes for great fun (especially when hitting speed bumps @ 45)

if style is already there....a primary reason why you chose your thirdgen over a mustang or other then it's no.1 obviously!
