Well hopefully either next weekend or the weekend of the 28th, I will be there to pick up the car, so possibly we may meet each other.....I only have met Roy because he met me at his shop on a sunday, and he seemed to know a lot about cars and seemed like a good guy.....

I can sympetize with your hesitance over starting the engine, I will be in the same boat here in a matter of weeks......

I really dont know,,,I just got caught up in the modding thing and well I already had the engine........so why not? it ran 15.4 when I first ever ran a car in my life and that was with a crappy R/T so it should get me in the low 14's? thats good enough for me...yeah right?!........plus everything I got can be moved over to a 350 with no problem.

Why did you yank the EGR?

all smog concerns aside, and computer codes / having to remove it from the prom etc, it does nothing to hurt the engine's PERFORMANCE....

it works to help "false fill" the cylinder w/ exhaust gas on certain throttle conditions ( not heavy or WOT if it's working right and not clogged w/ carbon at the intake ( the cause of most "bad" EGR valves )

Helps even the mixture out, helps gas mileage as well...

Just curious...it's your car....

Looks VERY nice BTW...

sound like you caught the "Mine as well Syndrome"..

Well I'm replacing the valve cover, so I mine as well put new rockers on...and I mine as well put a better cam in while I"m at it ...etc etc etc...

AND BTW..

LOL at u saying "That will be fast enough for me.."

YEAH RIGHT...better hide your credit cards now..there is NO such thing as fast enough.

LOL

actually yeah it did start out with just a LT1 cam change and then it went on and on and on...............I removed the EGR to clean thing up under the plenum and I didnt like and tubes that cam off of it. I'm just going to have it removed from the prom and be done with it. Theres plenty of people that run with out it and removing it from the prom should eliminate any evidence of it being there so not cause any sort or problem.
