I was wondering if anyone has these #290 Vortec Z wheels sold buy performance wheel outlet on there car. I was thinking about buying a set but i didnt know what they would look like on our cars. I e-mailed performance wheel outlet and they said that there 17x8.5 would bolt right up, but there 18x9.5 wouldnt work??? Any more info on these and pics would be great!

oh those they look pretty good. I think if you have the money for rims and tires go for it.

I placed an order for the #290 Vortec Z's in 18x9.5 front and rear. They called me back (after charging me) and told me that the 18x9.5's were not made in the correct backspacing/offset for the front of our cars. As far as I knew, a 9.5" wide front with 5.5" backspacing fits. But since he would not sell me the 18's for the front, I cancelled the entire order and got refunded. So I think the max they'll let you order is the 17's front, 18's rear.

not exactly the best company to purchase wheels from either. if you do a search on the internet you'll find alot of complaints from them and AAA rims. check out oe concepts for good quality oem wheels.

here is just one example of many you'll find on the internet if you want to know what your taking a chance with. http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/1701/pwosucks.htm

if you get fronts with a 9.5 rim then you need a 5.25 bs. I have talked to chevyken about this and he has a perfect stance and the rims are not too close to the tie rod like with a 5.5 bs.

what he's saying is the 18x9.5 offset is larger then necessary.

check with better manufacturers as there are alot of different offsets. try to get one with the smallest offset though so you don't have to use more money towards larger adapters. some companies will even custom cut a certain amount of orders if you can get people to jump in with you.

so for those of you who are looking for bolt on z06 wheels or any other style you'll need typically 10 or more orders....hint hint.
