Painting STB
I am soon going to be making my own STB out of 1 in. steel tubing and wondering if I needed any high temp paint? What I want to do is paint it my body color and since I have a stencil for the PONTIAC logo I figured I would paint that on there gold. How hot would a STB get?
Thanks

no need for hi temp paint guys!!!! I used the anodized look 2 part paint process for my stb and its not pealing or burning and im running headers so my engine bay is pretty warm. And thing is if it was hot enoght under your hood to burn the paint off of a stb your hood itself would be messed up. heres a pic of my stb...
the chrome letters are vinal stick ones and they anrt even peeling off from the heat.
