Checkout my sig pic. Powder coat the intake, not the plenum.

Plenum looks good. I polished mine too!

I just finished milling the fins off a buddies HSR a few days ago.

Id deff powdercoat that Lower Intake A mirror Black. Would look great with the way the valve covers are black and polished also.

looks good , but what made you decide to run fuel injection. Do you daily drive it and worry about economy or what?It looks real good though.

How much would the powdercoating cost?

That engine looks MEAN! I would go ahead and polish up the intake manifold while you're at it. It would look completely matched then!

i wouldnt powder coat the intake or touch anything on the motor for that matter. That has to be one of the simplest looking motors ive ever seen and i absolutly love it just the way it is.

Every engine looks simple on the stand. they don't look complicated till their stompin your muddhole. Then you say to yourself"self I need a bigger engine"......."to hang with the simple one"

Yeah right!

Judging by your sig, I think youre making more power than me, so you can still feel big and bad!

Simple? I wish it were, its been a pain in the *ss since day one, I guess thats what you get with all those aftermarket parts, nothing seems to fit right without modifications... Speaking of which, has anyone run into clearance problems with SLPs ypipe and Moroso pans?

In my old 83 S/E I ran into the some problems with installing headers with the 7 quart morosso pan. The driver's side pointed almost directly into the side of the pan. I thought about bending a piece of pipe, but it was so close, it wouldn't work. The only thing I could do was heat each tube until they were red-hot, and then use a looooong prybar to help persuade the pipes to bend to the right angle. It took a long time, and there were quite a few tense moments, but after it was done, it worked fairly well. The Y-pipe was mounted just underneath the convertor. I suppose I could have ran the pipe all the way to the rear of the pan, but by that time I just wanted the thing done so I could drive it!
