Silvania X1010s?

Anybody use Silvania's X1010 aux lights? I'm thinking of dropping them in the T/A fog light pockets since my stock ones are shot. I'd like to know what kind of pattern and brightness they are, because I would like to use them instead of my headlights, or in conjunction with them when needed. I know HIDs are low beams, but from what I've read, they are better than any non-HID bulb, either low or high beam. Is this true? Because if so, the X1010 kit would be worth it. I live in a mountainous area and most of my driving is done on the freeway, but there are times when I take those small highways and wish I had some bright lights to see farther down the road. I have looked at SilverStars for the popups, so I might upgrade to those.

So, are the X1010s good for driving without the popups (used as standalone headlights)? And, are they basically the brightest foglight alternatives I can get? I don't want to blind people but I don't want to go with standard foglights when I can get the best.

Thanks

Get the silverstars, you will thank yourself later.

I don't even use my fog lights anymore, and hardly even need the brights.
